- How do I achieve easy backsmacks and killjoys? It took me 6 games to get 1 killjoy out of PURE LUCK. I haven’t had any backsmack challenges yet but I’m pretty sure they’re going to take forever to complete.
I honestly feel like all of those challenges just came to me as I played. At one point (well after I finished the event), I got two killjoys in one round.
For the back smacks, I find there are a lot of places where you can drop down on someone from above as they run under you. There are a few places on Bazaar, for example. I’m terrible with callouts (I’m working on it) or I’d have better descriptions.
To get killjoys aside from rng, you need to throw. Throw hard.
Run out into the middle of the map, shoot and jump and make noise so people know where you are, and let them kill you. Your goal is to watch the kill feed and scoreboard. If you see an enemy who has gained 5+ kills without dying, hunt them down.
Odds are this is going to take quite a few games of just throwing before your mmr drops enough to put you in lobbies where people reliably streak, but you have only 2 alternatives; group with 3 other people who will help you feed streaks, or bow down to rngesus.
Backsmacks are comparatively easy. All you need to do is find a lobby where people run around rather than camp, and start camping corners. Streets is pretty good for this one, it has a lot of right angles and sneaky jump spots if you wanna try and proactively bait people, but it works on most maps. Even bazaar if you wanna try and pull off the long flank.
Killjoys will just come to you. There’s RNG, but the odds are pretty good (in my experience).
However, I found myself really keeping an eye on the killfeed. I wish killing sprees were their own line in the feed (as in, “Vigg the Pale is on a killing spree!”) but regardless you watch for a player wrecking your teammates and head that way.
Backsmacks are tough because of the quick ttk of unshielded enemies, but easy such that no one has a motion tracker. Note the positions people hold and you can get yourself into favorable positions.

1 match I had to throw a match super hard with me having 1 kill and 24 deaths. i just managed to get someone a killing spree but then the match ended. Next match after I got a killjoy of some guy with a headshot and got 2 killing sprees later in the same match, absolutely destroying the other team.
Overall, I completed my killjoy challenges yesterday and just need to do 1 backsmack to get the Mark V. And depending on the challenges I get afterward I might grind for the chest piece (If it’s an easy challenge like get 3 backsmacks or win 2 matches).
