Tactical Clippy should be awarded to everyone

IMO the line should be drawn further out than 2 hours after reset.

That’s only 1% of a week. Suggesting to give this unlock to literally everyone for this is unreasonable to me. Again, IMO!

Idk where your idea of 2 hours is, but considering you had to reset the game AND read about it through twitter and then getting your challenges reset is beyond convuluted. Sorry, i simply disagree. This is another issue with 343.

Also, considering the fact that it is a net positive for EVERYONE showcases a complete lack of understanding here.

The two hours comes from what others have said about the time for the correction. I didn’t even know there was another unlock initially after reset.

The fix was issued two hours after reset and you had to manually close the game and relaunch to reset the challenges meaning it was at the low end 2 hours and upend much more.

No, I get it. Nobody would complain about getting the unlock for free (besides those that earned it legitimately). I just think it is unreasonable to expect 343 to give it to everyone when it was corrected so fast.

Sorry you lost time and effort, genuinely. The challenge system is most often a total pain. I think a more reasonable compensation would be 5 or so challenge swaps for anyone that logged in during that first two hours. Or maybe even gift the original unlock to anyone that was more than half way to completing it, I don’t know if that data would be available though.

I do find it a little weird that you are wanting the revised reward to be given, and not the one you were initially working towards.

I knew tactical clippy was going to be the weekly from the leaks and when it got messed up i thought my challenges werent going to be reset - i was wrong. 343 gave out 2 or 3 weekly ultimates already because challenges were broken - i should expect they would do the same here to make it. Doesnt matter if ot was halfway through the week like with the very first weekly or a few hours, i expect them to do the same response for THEIR problem.

What other rewards have they given out and what were their circumstances? I’m only aware of the very first one (a visor) where they made rather significant changes to the challenges mid-week and had to reset everyone’s progress.

I think the one at the end of the second week of LSS but you had to have made some progress on the ultimate challenge.

One for Tactical Ops event (week 2) and one for the first LSS event apparently.

For tac ops didn’t they give away all of the cosmetics if you played one round the second week or was that a different event?

Idk, as far as i know they gave away the second weeks reward (backdrop) because the challenges were messed up. I got the first weeks ultimate so idk if they made both weeks available or not. Didnt even bother playing a single match for that backdrop because i wasnt interested.

I really don’t know how people play with them. I have them on power up weapons only. Can’t stand the BR having something bouncing and moving around.

I agree it’s a tremendous pain- I’ve had a few Ultimates that I ground hard for- and have even used some precious challenge swaps for- become “gimmes” on account of technical hiccups from 343i. That’s a super frustrating experience, and I think that the best way for 343 to resolve it would be to award players who did complete a bugged weekly deck with another Ultimate Reward for their trouble. Just something as simple as automatically granting them the next week’s Ultimate would go a long way towards mending the goodwill fence on this.

I don’t begrudge 343 for giving all players who made any progress the Ultimate Reward in a week that was riddled with progression and challenge bugs- that’s them doing right by the majority of players. They should just try to do something to make the players who did complete their entire decks and weekly ultimate challenge feel as though they didn’t waste their time and effort.

Theres already a lack of meaningful customization in the game, and for it to be lost forever due to FOMO and something out of our control makes no sense.

Well I was out of challenge swaps I think, and I did still have to do the entire week’s challenges.

Thats dandy, but people who did use swaps during that period arent getting them back

The problem is that Infinite only has a weekly challenge system and no daily system. Modern Warfare 2019 would offer charms as daily challenges. So the effort to get a low quality reward was reasonable. But Halo has you do 20 challenges that can potentially be very hard, time consuming or RNG-based for the same type of reward.

You did a whole stack of challenges in 2 hours? Without swaps?

I’ve finished 11 in an hour without swaps before.
