T:\rating_debug.txt (game drive root folder)

Hey Waypoint Forums,
Just noticed a random file on my T:\ hard drive root folder. It was created about the same time I logged off of Reach on MCC (steam version). anyone know what this is (hello 343?) I’m just curious as to what it does/means.
The file is called rating_debug.txt
I’ll post the output with obfuscated ID’s for player ID, etc just in case.

<file contents>

</file contents>

If anyone knows anything about this or if it’s even from MCC Reach, I would love to know.

Thanks,.

I’m getting the exact same file also on my T:\ drive, it’s a network drive from my media server. I’m playing on the Windows Store version of MCC.

Just noticed this file today, also in the root of my ‘T’ drive. I’m on the Game Pass version which was installed and launched through the Xbox (beta) app. Starting to look anyone with a drive assigned letter T will run into this. Not really an issue for me, just kind of an interesting oddity.

I’m getting this too. Does anyone know how to get it to stop or where to go to change the location it gets saved to?

This is a silly bug. I am also getting it.

I created a bug to the support team (request 19782).

Several months and 2 more Halo releases for MCC later, this file still exists. Did anyone ever figure out what it is? I mean, it certainly looks like a Halo debug/log file, but my curiosity lives.
Also, using steam release btw.
