T for Teen vs M for Mature.

Halo 5 got a lower rating (Past tense)
In my opinion that didn’t need to happen, and as a result of it being lowered 343 also lowered the amount of Blood in game, Edited the story (to the point that there is no story) like it’s no ones business, decreased the language, removed all possibilities of the flood… all so they can cater to a younger audience and milk more sales out of the primary title… As much as I approve of 343 being a business trying to make money (Oh for -Yoink- sakes I’m not a Democrat) I think that all the compromise in order to boost sales was really uncalled for… my reasoning is that they could have continued or completed the Megabloks Halo game and released it as a E for Everyone 10+ game.
Than 343 could have had the Megabloks Halo game as a way of telling the original trilogy to a younger audience so that way when they are older and start picking up the newer, more mature titles than they would understand the story and the concepts. I mean we don’t need the Blood, Language, or Much of a Story to get the main ideas across and the sound track could just be adopted over.
Than we wouldn’t have had nearly as many issues with the MCC or Halo 5 if simply they made the Halo Megabloks game or got it finished… which ever the details don’t matter the point is that they had a basic blue print to make a Megabloks game and sell it and make killer sales because the game would be E for Everyone.
I wonder just how ruined Halo 5 is because they had to compromise in name of sales… I wonder just how awesome Halo 5 would have been had we not gotten it at T for Teen but it stayed at M for Mature… Eh!?
Now because Halo 5 Sheep need proof, here is a link

Now my question is for everyone, if you’d buy Halo megabloks than would you buy a Halo megabloks game?? And do you think that Halo Reach and 4 would be better in a Megabloks type game?

Not this argument again. The rating wasn’t some grand conspiracy, it was just because the flood and their dismemberment wasn’t in. The rating being T or M would not have changed much of anything at all.

I would like to present you with the 1st 2017 face palm of the year award

That’s like saying Santa Claus/The Tooth Fairy isn’t a lie told by your parents… When in fact it has been you parents this entire time

I just noticed you didn’t read my post only the title.

I’ll just shorten this.

1.the rating means nothing
2.the past games really didn’t “need” M ratings either as there was very little blood, gore, nudity, cursing, etc etc. it was minimal at best.
3.rating also doesn’t effect a story, there are kid stories executed better than halo 5 was, it’s 343 simply being bad writers, not the rating limiting them.
4. It’s funny seeing the speculation they lowered the rating for sales when they’re losing more than they’re gaining, by quite the margin at that.
5. The rating has no effect on the actual gameplay of the game, the thing that actually does get criticism.
6. How have the flood been eliminated from possibly being in a game? That’s more a designers choice over a rating, not to mention there really is no reason to include them in the reclaimer trilogy and after the events of halo 3.

I think had the previous Halos been released now odds are they get a T rating. They are the most tame MA rated games. I don’t miss the blood at all considering Halo has always had very little of it. Sure I would like to still see it but it’s not game breaking or anything. I do miss seeing the blue blood splatter while mowing down the some grunts.

The M rating would mean more gore and an overall sense of a mature theme.

Here’s the problem I have with the “T” rating:

With an “M” rating yeah we got 13 year olds and up in the community as they were technically teens, but the “T” rating has brought in kids under 10! This is a problem, you wonder why so many players suck? It’s probably because they’re kids who either a) have never played Halo before or b) don’t have their reflexes developed enough for the gameplay yet. Not to mention they act up even more than the “pre-teens” from the Halo 3 days, it’s ridiculous I hear 8 year olds swearing like sailors like WTF?!

Halo is sorta stuck with who they want their audience to be. Kids, teens or Adults. Old halo fans, new fans, fans that left ect.

I’m all for a grittier core experience while a side company develops a Halo megablocks game. I definitely wouldn’t play a Halo: Megablocks, but if that’s what it takes to get a more realistic tone of war than so be it.

The core of halo 5’s issues isn’t its age rating.

While a Halo Megablocks game sounds cool in theory, it’d probably suck in practice as Halo was not, is not, and will never be designed to be “kid friendly”. The reason it worked with Star Wars was because Star Wars was always designed to be family friendly, Halo is not. Halo is an FPS at it’s core and at it’s best, and while Reach was a decent spinoff game, it did cause a huge splash with the mainstream games that came after, namely Halo 4 and 5. Halo 4 tried to be super fun and less in your face, while Halo 5 gave minimal effort to be fun, and both 4 and 5 have taken features from Reach and evolved on them instead of taking features from 3 and evolving on them. Sure sprint is fine in spinoff games, but I prefer classic gameplay in the mainstream games. I know I’ve said the opposite in the past, but I’ve recently had a change of heart, Halo isn’t what it used to be, because it’s catering to the wrong crowd. It’s cattering the FPS crowd like CoD, Battlefield, and Titanfall instead of catering to the HALO crowd. This is why a Megablocks game would fail, while it is a spinoff, it still wouldn’t have the HEART of Halo, something Reach most certainly did.

Halo never deserved an M rating. It barely had swearing and possessed mostly alien blood. The main reason why it was M was because of nude Cortana (i mean barely) and the disfigured flood, which as of now doesn’t exist. They game shouldn’t be M nor has it ever deserved the rating.

Only halo 2 vista ever suggested Cortana was a cause of Mature rating.

> - Halo 2 Vista was rated M for Violence, Language, Blood and Gore, and also Partial Nudity, which the Xbox version lacked. It turns out that a bug in a .-Yoink- error appeared to show the butt of a naked man. This can be removed simply with a patch downloadable from the Halo 2 Vista website.

Scroll down to the trivia section to see where I got it.

Oh, apparently she wasn’t even the cause of H2 Vista either.

I’d like to present myself the first Self Awarding Award for 2017.

To be honest, I really don’t think it matters at all.
