thats about the game it self.
its the developers choose if there wane have that NPC’s from that game talk trash or not and how hard the trash talk from the NPC most be.
what i mean more is the people who play the game like you and me.
its more the communety from that game what no developer can controle at all.
if the communety from a game is more toxic that will give more a bad reputation from the game.
i have see on youtube a clip that there are a lot off game’s that have a more worse toxic level that scare’s new players away so the reputation from that type game’s is not good at all.
COD has had instances where people got doxed and swatted and i’ve yet to see even a single code player turn away from it due to that. I think you’re over exaggerating this.
sorry but that has notting to do with cod at all that people get swatted.
i have see clips on youtube that people got swatted by playing counter strike also.
and it has more to do if you are a streamer and one that has a lot off sub’s like on twitch.
it has notting to do with the cod titels only.
if you look on youtube and see clips from people that get swatted you see good there not playing cod only at all but are only more streamers.
the only thing i can tell is we never know the real reason why there have remove it from the halo game’s the voice chat more.
Generally I don’t bag because I am just trying to get the kill and move onto either the next kill or objective but as others have stated I find it hilarious when people on the other team that have negative K/Ds start bagging me when they get a kill or when its a 3/2 vs. 1 and one of them will come up to bag you. Had a game recently where the two worst players on the other team would bag after every kill they got.
Now this is a ‘not all’ problem? I thought we were just policing it to keep out the bad reputation entirely? How about MMOs and their tendency toward funeral & wedding crashing?
Ask yourself. What does “T-Bag” refer to? It refers to something roughly the shape of a bag of tea, right? And rubbing it on someone after you beat them?
What would the purpose of etiquette be when you are insulting someone you already beat? It’s trash talk via gesture. What does etiquette even mean in this context.
Do it if it suits you, don’t if it doesn’t. That’s all it comes down to.
Other games are trying to figure out how to have a less toxic online culture and we’re here talking about the proper etiquette for imitating a sexual act in game…sigh
I find it more amusing than anything when it happens to me. I have never done it to someone and I’ve been gaming since the NES. Just never crosses my mind.
I personally don’t care when someone does it or under what pretense. If it’s all done in good fun it doesn’t matter.
Would be amazing if you got a suspension for false reporting. The mental gymnastics for you to come to that conclusion is actually a you problem and not the person who tbagged you. You cannot be suspended for tbagging and are abusing the report system. Block all you want, false reporting over mental gymnastics so you can still feel like you have authority over the “evil doing tbagging sexists” would lead me to assume you wear a helmet and think your feelings should be catered too. Toughen up buttercup, this comment is why I will now tbag even more.
Honestly I’ve never bothered with t-bagging. I wan’t (possibly need) every advantage I can get and spending time waiting to get killed at your corpse isn’t for me.
If I really knew it would psych someone out it would be worth the time but that’s too hard to figure out on the fly.
To keep it on topic, there is clearly no etiquette to disrespecting your opponent. You do it simply for a laugh or to psych them out. No etiquette required.
maybe you forgot it but the developers from halo have found out the T-bagg in the first place that we know in FPS game’s.
and the T-bagg has notting to do at all with sexually inappropriate behavior all.
if you have learn the history from it what it really means and its commen normal now a day’s in FPS game’s then you know it has compleet notting to do with sexually inappropriate behavior at all.
and like it has been told all on this thread there are now a lot of diferend versions of the orginal T-bagg people use in game’s.
It absolutely started as a way to mimic inappropriate behaviour. Sure, it started in Halo, but the devs didn’t put it in the game. People just discovered they could do it by crouching. Just look it up on Urban Dictionary.
I think the meaning has changed a bit over the years, but let’s not pretend it started out in some wholesome fashion.
the meaning has been the same since day 1 and has never been chance at all.
sure the crouching is something you need to do the original T-Bagg.
but people have also discovered a lot off other diffrend way’s and versions to use as the T-Bagg.
use emote’s like dance emote’s in fortnite.
then you have the spray paint version.
then you have the melee version on the death body and shoot on the death body version.
and to make it more fun some developers have added challance in there game’s also like splitgate or cod ghost’s.
that means back in halo 2 (not know it for 100% sure) that some bungie developers have done it for the fun back then has grow out to all the FPS game’s as a standart thing to do to make a shooter game more fun.
edite: to make it more fun there have add the T-bagg all in the halo infinte campaign mode also in the enemy AI.
The history of it is irrelevant. Plenty of things seemed alright at first and over the years we learned that they were actually just inappropriate. Some of us have been around since the beginning but we aren’t 13 year boys giggling about getting away with imitating shoving genitals in someone’s mouth anymore.
like some people give a damm about it.
you know that the gaming world and the real world are 2 compleet diffrend things.
what is wrong in the real world do’s not mean its also wrong in the gaming world.
if i play a race game then i am not going to follow the trafic law from the real world since its something stupid to do in a race game.
its the same if people are going to complain about the race game’s that have a open world setting most follow the trafic law from the real world.
if you not like it then not play FPS game’s in the first place since the T-bagg is a commen thing in the FPS Genre game’s.
and you know also really good that there are a lot off game’s in the world that do more things what is more inappropiate then something like the T-bagg
