T-Bag etiquette

What is the general consensus on good “BM etiquette”. For example: I think after winning a 1v2 a t-bag is exceptable or if I get first shot with a sniper but choke the gun fight I totally deserve a t-bag. For every game that I’ve played there is a BM code of honour. Like say for MOBA or RTS games you don’t GG first if you are winning as that’s like saying game is over because we say so and that’s just in poor taste. What is your take on a “yea that’s fair” t-bag, BM scenario in infinite.

why do we need T-bag etiquette in the first place?

i think we all agree that the T-bag most stay for good the same like its now as the ultime troll there is in the FPS serie’s and not most chance at all.

I’m not saying it should go away, I’m asking more like is there an established BM culture in Halo?

halo has creat the T-bag in the first place as a ultime troll.
its thanks to the bungie developers that have done it for the first time that FPS now in general have the T-bag in de first place as ultime troll in multiplayer match.

maybe you need to learn first with game has creat the T-bag in the first place and that was halo by the bungie team.
i not know 100% if it was halo CE or halo 2 multiplayer from back then where there have done it and where it start.

why you think T-bagging in halo is something all old school players agree on that is holy and never most be talk bad about it.

There is not such etiquette for these things. Some people will say that a t-bag is acceptable after A,B, or C. But those snobby people are wrong. Bagging has less rules to it than Fight Club. You die, you get bagged. Bag an enemy, bag a friendly. Bag your brother & your sister. Mom & Dad. That 6 year old squeaker & the 99 year old geezer. No one is off limits and no reason is too small.

If you can tbag, you can.

It’s that simple.

I generally don’t t-bag unless I just completely stomped some dude. But there are no rules.

There has to be a context.

a) To show respect to an opponent after a particularly epic dog fight. This is best suited with a quick dip (or douple dip). Much like tipping your hat in respect.

b) After reversing an unwinnable position - especially if your opponent was brandishing a power weapon or using a power up (special nod to all those dirty filthy camo-campers). This calls for a definite and enthusiastic bagging.

c) As an act of defiance when your team is being completely destroyed. Down 5-45 and just made it 6-45. Bag away.

d) When it might be funny. Like after a ridiculously silly kill. This often calls for a fun bag. Express yourself. Throw in a jump. A couple of spins. Mix up the rhythm! Sometimes the bag can almost be apologetic in it’s nature.

e) Any team-mate that died poorly (eg. rushing headlong at the rocket launcher). Definitely anyone killed by a Bot. And if it was you who accidentally dispatched them from this mortal coil - you are simply honour bound to attempt CPR!

f) To surrender. If you’re 1v4 and getting smashed - try tea-bagging in an open space (just not over an opponent). Sometimes the other team will stop hunting you down for easy kills and join your for some group baggings.

The only bag I don’t like are those obnoxiously aggressive bags. With the melees. etc.

Yes the obnoxious tbags are the worst. Like you killed me 3v1 in your 4 stack after I killed you once and you tbag and shoot my corpse? Absolutely no sophistication. Recieving good tbags are getting rarer and rarer for me. Like damn if you ended my cheap triple sword kill with a stick I will solemnly take that tbag

I wasn’t refering to rules, more so like what circumstances would make you feel like “yep this guy definitely deserved this, take -Yoink!-”

Oh, well I suppose if they melee your body or tbag you first. Or if they hide all game.

The best etiquette is to back smack your team mates at the start of the game and T-Bag them atrociously until they respawn… then you rinse and repeat.

T-Bagging is just part of the game. T-bagging has been around in most multiplayer games. So it’s no big deal! hell T-bagging has been around since DOOM, Unreal Tournament, Halo Combat Evolved and others!. It’s not a big deal!

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

It’s just part of the game.
The meta is using the frustration/rage you get from being t-bagged into playing better/turning the tide of the match.

that you see the t-bag in other shooters now is all thanks to halo CE back in the old day’s where it start.

and still there are now a day’s diffrend versions off the original T-bag.
the dance emote’s.
the spray paint.
the melee or shooting on death body’s.
and the original version.

Dare I say, T-bagging was the precursor to Fortnite dances?

people in fortnite are using the dance emote on the other players body’s to do the same when you T-bag other players in cod or halo.
since in fortnite you cant T-bag at all so there have found something else to replace it and do’s the same more.

I generally am not bothered by it, but the funniest thing is when I wipe the team for a while and some guy finally nails me and T-Bags me.

like, sure thing buddy, you did it, you slayed the dragon, but you can’t slay that 12 point difference I made.
