I’d like to play some good old fashion Halo with my friends at my house on the Local Area Network. Simple right? Wrong. I’ve spent hours going over the settings, YouTube videos, Reddit posts, and here on the forums to no avail.
My current configuration I was told would work is I have two consoles connected to a router via Ethernet cables. The router is connected to the internet. I’m using Xbox live silver accounts and when I try to change the network settings to LAN in the MCC settings menu, it tells me a key isn’t assigned and won’t let me apply the changes and cannot access the LAN features. We cannot connect on Xbox live either.
Is there something I’m missing? Incredibly frustrating. I miss it when games were as simple as plug and play.
