Sorry if this has already been posted, but I didn’t see anything similar.
When watching the E3 2012 trailer, I saw a brief flash of a symbol on the woman’s screen. It was too quick to make much of, but upon glancing at it, I assumed that it was 05-032 Mendicant Bias’ avatar.
But then like the rest of you, at the end of the trailer, I heard an ominous voice proclaim “I have long dreamed of this day… Reclaimer.” and saw an avatar clearly on the screen.
I was wrong. It’s not the rampant AI Mendicant Bias.
It’s Didact.
I don’t think he’s. The symbol doesn’t mach perfectly with the Didact’s… I still stick to him being the Promethean.

Hmmm… perhaps, but the design is still the very distinctive hexagon flanked by two lines, with a single line below.
I could be wrong again, but why would they make his symbol so close to Didact’s? The only reason I can think of is to drive speculation like this.

The symbol was shown in the terminals in Halo CEA, and i think i saw it in halo 3 though i may be wrong.
Or, maybe our foe is requiem itself, lol, I still think its the master builder / Faber.
I wonder why the symbol is red and inverted… maybe with all the changes they go through in their incredibly long lives, Forerunners encounter a biological form of rampancy.
Or maybe Faber is pulling his strings.

But at the same time another question is: why didn’t they show the exact Didact’s symbol we saw in Halo 3? Why to change it slightly if it’s still the same individual?

Hmm, good point. In fact, upon reviewing the first screenshot I posted, the symbol is displayed upside down there too.

Its pretty obviously something related to the Didact so i suspect that its probably the symbol used to represent his army.
When somebody turns the cross upside down, it means the anti christ.
So, when the Didact’s symbol was turned upside down, does that mean the Anti-Didact?
And who would be the Anti-Didact? Faber?
Im guessing the Didact isnt our foe - what reasons does he have to fight us? He got on well with Chakas and riser and basically Bornstellar is the Didact now, who always liked the humans. Not to mention his wife loved us.
So im guessing its Faber.
