Why is the Arbiter’s forces bright red? Is there an actual reason? Cause I was kinda thinking his forces would have probably looked better if the wore armor that was very similar to the design of the classic Sangheili Combat Harness. Maybe a mixture of the Halo 2: Anniversary & Halo 3 designs. Also, what’s up with the Arbiter’s armor?
Well, according to Grim, there actually ARE SOS elites with halo 2 combat harnesses. They just aren’t super common. Red is just what the Arbiter chose, I’m not sure if there’s a significance to it. It’s a good contrast to the covenant purple. As for why the Arbiter got new armor, I’d say it’s because of his new role. His old armor was the armor of the COVENANTS arbiter (which would also be a symbol of dishonor now). His new armor is supposed to represent his newfound role as not only a warrior, but also of a leader. His job isn’t just to shoot and kill anymore, he also is responsible for reuniting his whole species. The new, more elegant armor is supposed to represent that.
New game, new armor, new weapons, etc.
I like the old armor but the new armor looks sick.

I understand this. But that was more aesthetics than anything. Those were for cutscenes for Halo 2: Anniversary only. The Arbiter didn’t even have his full mask in those scenes either. And let’s not forget that anatomy of the H2A & the H5G Sangheili are very different when comes to the mandibles & more importantly there feet. I was just talking about a design that would help them stand out. Something more classic. As for the Arbiter, he wants to bring the Covenant back to it’s former glory like in the Pre-Fal 'Chavamee days. So if anything, you’d think he’d keep the armor as symbol of reformation & honor. Again, it was most likely due to aesthetics. I’m mainly just a fan of the H2A Covenant design in general. I just wish both arms on the H2A Combat Harness matched. OCD!
