I’m assuming this is a glitch rather than design but the upgraded Beam Rifle, Sword of the Faithful, is unable to register a headshots. I have unlocked it permanently and used it at least 4 times now and have not hit a single headshot.

As you can see the first and third kills were clearly hit in the head twice each (the 2nd probably did too), no headshot indicator in the kill feed.
I only have the 1 clip for now but I think it’s pretty conclusive.
Is this a known bug?
I think its either a bug or 343 doesn’t know how to code. But atleast you get some more ammunition than the normal rifle.
Probably a little bit of both. About 30% more ammo but 100% more shots required to kill someone sadly.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who experiences this issue, in fact, I ditched this more “advanced” beam rifle in favor of the regular beam rifle that can actually one shot people.
it says in the description that the faster rate of fire and increased energy are balanced by reduced damage
the reading comprehension of halo players worries me
It’s by design. It is meant to be a normal fire weapon so no scope weapon
I think itit was meant to like this! What’s wrong with a strong 2 hit riffle? It shoots really fast just double tap on every kill or just go for the assist and support the team!
