Is Swords or Gravity Hammer fights added to a playlist i remember Halo 3 and Halo 2 i think having it.

No I think he means the Swords gametype that is in Social Slayer.
In which case I don’t think it would work too well, since we don’t have ranked/social split.

I don’t think he means grifball, he is thinking of a team slayer where everybody has swords or gravity hammers. I think this would work well even with the fact that it is ranked.
I really enjoyed the Swords and Hammers gametypes in Halo 3.
Unfortunately I don’t see it coming back because a) griffball, b) fiesta, c) binary slayer. Those are your best bets for working through those commendations.
They would be totally fun additions to a pure FFA playlist, though.
