Sword Cancelling

Will Sword Cancelling still exist? I used to spend hours with friends using sword cancelling as a way to explore parts of maps, Headlong was by far the most interesting to “escape” and explore, I know many other people used to do the same thing in custom games, used to be incredibly fun in a Snipers Custom game lobby.

If it was patched in the final version of Halo 2, it won’t work in the MC Collection version.

As far as I know (hardly played Halo 2 online), it was patched - so it won’t work.

it was not ptached! so it should still work.

I was certain it wash’t patched :stuck_out_tongue:

Isn’t Halo 2 getting its own Forge mode? If so then this glitch seems rather redundant.

Only for the six remastered maps. The original Halo 2 will remain untouched.

Sword flying (where you use a rocket launcher and quickly press Y+RT) was patched, but sword cancel (R+x I believe) was not. Likewise, melee cancel will be in.

Im pretty sure it was patched. I remember doing the rocket/sword cancel and flying over invisible walls to explore maps was awesome! But I remember it didn’t work anymore eventually.

Really? I was sure that you could still do them in campaign for speedruns.

I still remember butterfly jumping across the water on Headlong, and getting out of the map.

I wonder if they will hide skulls in the same places people would normally get out of maps in the remade ones?

I swear it was patched, but I could be wrong.

The patches only applied to multiplayer. The campaign was never updated

Sword Cancelling will still work. Sword Flying will not.
