Sword Banshee > Hannibal Wasp?

It seems I can always defeat a Hannibal Wasp when I’m piloting a Sword Banshee. And on the other hand, I can’t defeat a Sword Banshee to save my life while piloting a Hannibal Wasp.

My question is:
-Which do you think is better in a 1on 1 aerial fight? And do you think the Hannibal Wasp’s legendary rating is justified?

I’d say that this lopsided encounter is due to the fact that Banshees these days fly more on aileron rolls rather than regular piloting because it’s perfectly balanced to have something like the Banshee be able to roll, fire, then roll again all in the space of 1.5 seconds (rinse and repeat). It’s not you, it’s the mechanics of the game; can’t bloody well shoot something that moves faster than a cat exiting a bathtub.

Best piece of advice while inside a Hannibal Wasp: Keep your distance, especially in aerial combat.

True, but the Banshee you’re fighting doesn’t always make it so easy. Their mobility makes the Wasp look like the turtle of the sky.

A wasp can beat a banshee. I’ve done it with all three varieties. However, banshees are far more suited to air-to-air combat due to their maneuverability IMO. Banshees have an advantage on Phaetons in that regard imo (though the Helios when used well can destroy them.) I mostly use Phaetons and wasps against Spartans (and the Hannibal in firefight.)

Wasps will never be worth anything against any of the other ariel vehicles because…

  1. No health
2.very little mobility compared to other ariel vehicles
  2. All weapons orverheat to quickly/charge after every round

The hannibal wasp is a joke

Wasp, especially hannible, are more for taking out Infantry on the ground and not aerial vehicles.

If you’re knocking about in any variety of Wasp, you’ll want to communicate with at least one teammate who keeps an anti-air weapon at hand, anything from a Plasma Pistol to the Splaser will do. The Wasp struggles in air-to-air, so you need someone to watch your back while you clean up the ground.

This is a Hannibal wasp, remember. You move faster. Strafe more often, and when a banshee bombs you, go left or right in a long U turn away from the banshee, so the bomb won’t be able to keep up.

Banshees are forward moving, you have to try and stay in their blindside which is about a few metres to their 10:30 and 1:30 position or any more left or right of that. They have to turn so much just to use the Banshee Bomb.
But Banshees are unbalanced, they need to have a evade cooldown just like Spartans do and using the bomb should put the evade on a 0.2 second cooldown, cause its ridiculous that they flip and bomb at the same time to accelerate the bomb, its exploiting a game mechanic.
