That’s awesome! Driver gets killed or thrown out of the Warthog, you the turret operator climbs into the vacant seat!
In one War zone clip, I saw the driver get pulled out, and as the enemy player took over the steering wheel, good ol’ gunny flipped to the right side and called shotgun then pummeled him. Such seamless action! So fluid! So awesome!
I absolutely love this feature, so many times have I been gunning in a Hog only to have the driver be capped somehow or just flat out leave. Now with a fluid motion I can hop into the driver’s seat before someone can pop me too.
I can see it also being useful to retake a jacked hog.
This is a good small feature that will have a big impact on how vehicle battles play out. Also, no need to worry about jumping in the wrong seat anymore! Just jump in and switch around.
My favorite thing to do is hijack the gunner, then swap to passenger, and mellee the driver to death, then swap to driver, then use their own warthog against them.

this is definitely one of the better improvements to halo 5 that really makes the warthog better. it still relies on a 2 man team to run n gun with but you dont have to hope out n run to turret to shoot. this resulted in most times the warthog driver trying to drive away n just get shot at and usually failed for him and mostly they would just ditch the warthog. so now the warthog gets used to its fullest capability.
