Swiming in Halo 4?

Ok… so Spartans can fall from space and only sprain his ankle, but they cant breath in a inch of water even with a helmet on. We should also gets boats for some ocean combat.

Um, thats pretty much a force field type thing… And the fact that he is wearing a ton of armor (literally) so I’m pretty sure he would sink.

Or you could walk at the bottom of the water like on sierra 117 in Halo 3

Maybe the new armor will have features to make it buoyant. Other then that, a spartan will sink like a rock.

A Spartan in full armor would sink faster than the Lusitania.

i think that would be awesome and sinking what if there e.v.a. pack could be gas probeled and they could use it in the water

Not that crazy about swimming (at least, not yet). However vehicular ocean combat is a very nice idea.

That was fun.

Two ton suit of armor = NO FLOAT

LOL

What everyone else said, MK Armor weighs a TON. Maybe two. There is a limit to things you can add to a game, water-fighting was an option for Reach that Bungie presented at a panel somewhere long ago before Reach released but after Halo 3. If I remembered where I saw it, would show you. The prototype was rather disgusting (good way).

As people have said, all the armor would render a Spartan equivalent to a rock in terms of buoyancy, but I’m sure the armor has some sort of life-support system. I see no reason why that wouldn’t work underwater. Also, oceanic vehicular combat would be a much welcome addition.

They can breath for a limited amount of time with their helmets on underwater. But, swimming in Halo would be silly. Boats would feel a bit out of place, as well.

This post contains truth.

This. Their armor is simply too heavy, still, why DO they drown in a quarter inch of water?

Doesn’t the armor weight about 1000 pounds or so?

Why in the world would you want to swim anyways? For one, you would be a sitting duck. Two, …why bother.

I can’t say that I’d be too thrilled about swimming in Halo 4. I mean, the feature was amazing in Crysis, but I don’t see it working too well in Halo.

Valhalla’s river.
