That’s been around for ages, I found that if you try and load up the screen where you buy req packs (Press Y) as soon as you load up Halo 5 you shouldn’t get any problems.

Probably, I dont remember what it said, Kind’ve turned off my XBOX I’d much rather text my GF and watch youtube then bother wasting time on the game when its being complete and utter crap.

Well i know you don’t want to hear that its your wifi and maybe hard wiring your box isn’t an option (or just really inconvenient) but I can almost certainly guarantee the problem will disappear if you use an ethernet cable. plus you’ll enjoy a much better gaming experience.
whatever the protocol the game uses the check for reqs it only does it once and if it fails it just doesn’t check again for some reason. and its prone to fail more on wifi for some reason.

I know it’s not a Wifi only issue. I’ve had a wired connection for a long time and that issue has occurred way too frequently in the past then there’s the random dropped connections that happens to everyone I know…basically it’s 343i’s servers getting worse.

Yeah that would not surprise me, very disappointing though :/.

im not saying wired is perfect - i do occasionally get retrieving data (also on JIP games it takes a while) on a wired connection but its quickly fixed with a box reset. OP was describing a systemic issue with loading reqs. anyway OP is free to try wired connection if they want to or not. cheers

Not too sure that would need a reset since usual when I’ve played a few matches it seems to sort itself out plus pretty sure it’s a server issue because 343i have mentioned it before in the support page, they’ve had monitors mention that there aware of the issue. Anyway some people might need to reset their routers or go into their router to check their NAT is open.
Most of the time I have no access to reqs it’s cause I got jipped and it doesn’t go away till I next level up which can be irritating if I’m a low req level facing a high ammount of req levels. Minimum req I feel I need to combat a higher req level is 4-5.
Its been a while since I had no access at all. Normally it happens only after an update then goes away. I swear it happens if too many people are using the req selling app cause when ever there has been s lot of talk about it the stations tend to go offline a lot.
I had one game where nobody could use any reqs other than default loadout. Made it… interesting.
Its still quite a tick off seeing as thats like 80% of the game lol.
