sadly the will probably just make a new gamertag. Or play the leaked halo 4 on a new account so their Orignal tag won’t be hit. Its glad to see they are doing something but sadly it won’t stop all of it.

Yeah but a lot of people get banned everyday. Its not just the halo 4 leaks.

yea, but they’re banning people for giving out MP and forge information, this information is perfectly harmless and actually helps them gain sales and calm nerves that fans have.
only the people who post campaign information should be banned because they’re the ones spoiling the game for the players, banning people for giving out MP information is very off-puting because it sort of says “our game is crap and we don’t want you knowing untill you give us money”.

Some are only account bans while others are console banning (IP banning).

But that wouldn’t be fair either.
That’s saying:
Group A: you’re naughty for playing something illegally which is against our code of conduct etc, and you’re spoiling it for others = ban
Group B: you’re naughty as well, and you too are violating codes of conduct/terms of agreement/whatever, but keep doing what you’re doing.
Not only would it be hard to make a difference between who’se playing campaign vs other modes, but group B people can become group A people. Not to mention you could have group A people who don’t spoil anything, so by your rules shouldn’t be banned as well.
That would be SO much work for MS, and it really wouldn’t set a statement. What they’re doing now is reasonable and fair.

what damage are MP leakers doing though?
nothing, they aren’t giving out information that hasn’t already been given to us by 343i, they’re just shedding more light on the subject, calming nerves and help to hype the game creating more sales for MS, even if this is against the code of conduct they’re still helping MS make money…
campaign leakers are being hamrfull though, they’re ruining the campaign and completely spoiling any enjoyment they would get from playing through it ruining the entire experience, a lot of people only play campaign just to know the story and if they know the story they’re not going to play the campaign or purchase the game.
also, what is wrong with purchasing the game then playing it online through the services provided to them? banning people for this is completely cannot be justified.
they’re also banning people for uploading videos to youtube even when they haven’t actually pirated the game or got it early, again cannot be justified.
