Sweatzone??

this isn’t made to sound like a rant or anything I just have a question, why is warzone so sweaty now??like every match im in its sweat and I guess I kinda don’t mind it but can someone please answer my question as to why warzone is so sweaty?

I have no idea. I don’t know why people take the game so seriously and go full on sweaty mode in a casual game mode. It just ruins the game.

Yeah, for as long as I’ve been playing, Warzone is sweaty as all hell.
The playlist population seems to be divided into 3 groups:

  • Achilles Grinders - KDA Grinders - Casual PlayersUnfortunately, you see far more of the first two.

Warzone is as sweaty as you make it IMO

Warzone lags me out every game. Arena is the only thing that works anymore, although I’ve gotten through one or two WZ rounds. Usually I’m the guy with ~20 kills and about 6 boss takedowns…

Trrrue

I wouldn’t know since I haven’t played it for a long time, but I remember someone saying teams of six can’t core as easy now so it turns into them just killing the enemy team over and over which might make it feel sweaty.

Warzone is an abomination of a game mode which 343 created with good intentions, but never thought of how imbalanced it could get once people started ranking up and unlocking high level REQs. I H5’s beginning, Warzone was extremely fun. I used to play the crap out of it, but now it’s pretty much unbearable. The REQ unlock system is so flawed and unbalanced and if a team of randoms gets matched against even a half coordinated party, the match becomes so unfair that it’s almost unfathomable.

I don’t know I’ve been getting slightly less sweaty games recently and been able to enjoy it a bit more. It’s only sweaty when there is teams of 6. It still feels one sided but it’s not as bad, triple caps seem easier to brake recently.

Maybe with the recent changes the mmr has evened out more lower mmrs games are closer which is good for them but higher mmrs are getting closer matching changes making it harder.

Warzone is making me hate people that wear Achilles.
Everyone i meet with Achilles is a tryhard.
But I’m not saying everyone with Achilles is bad.

I don’t think 343 ever anticipated how Warzone would evolve with strategy. It’s not even about ranks or unlocks since they would’ve had all of those available in testing. I’m sure in all those internal playtests they most likely just played Warzone how it was intended to be played which is also how it was played in the beginning of the game and that’s why it was fun for a lot of people. Now people are playing it a lot differently from those beginning days which can be one reason why it’s not as fun.

That was true months ago. Achilles has been out so long now that even average players like myself have it. Now it’s just a way to identify people who have played too much lol. Back on topic, I think the problem with warzone is that it allows high SR players who have 30 Nornfangs to compete against newer players with a small req collection. After the first 3-4 minutes the players with tons of reqs to burn take over, and newer players can’t keep up. I have more reqs than I can ever use. How is it fair when I match up against a low SR player, he has a BR, and I have whatever 1 shot kill weapon I want? Add in the fact that the higher skilled players access their overpowered collection earlier in the match, and a low SR, less than average skilled player has no chance at all.

Sweaties, Sweaties everywhere…

Yeah, I remember how WZ played way back when… Watching old recordings (Theater recorded or otherwise) where people didn’t have everything unlocked (and the Mantis was still Level 8) it played so much differently. In many ways, it was more fun - even though I do love the heck out of that H2 Beam Rifle Delta.

Still… I’d give a ton to see a Warzone King of the Hill variant pop up eventually. I think that a WZ CTF would be absolute hell in every possible definition of the term, if how BTB CTF often ends up going is anything to judge it by - but a KotH mode might actually be kinda fun? I mean, I know sometimes KotH games end up being sour too, but in my experiences it happens far more often with CTF than KotH.

Agreed.

My opinion is that arena is way more “sweaty”.

Warzone has been sweaty for a long time now. Some might say it was because of Achilles and people would team up and farm kills to unlock it as fast as possible, and now they keep doing it because they enjoy steamrolling people. Others might say that it wasn’t sweaty at first because back then, it was all new to everyone and we had only a handful of REQs. And some might say that Halo 5 is just competitive by it’s very nature, drawing in sweaty players regardless of playlist. If you ask me, I think it’s a little bit of all three.

How could it not be? You have a bunch of power weapons at your disposal! Also not to mention it’s an easier grind for multikills and killing sprees!

Hidden MMR is most likely the cause of this.

fix’d.
