SWAT UPDATE NEEDED!!!!!!!!

halo reach swat needs more maps, and less magnums! They took away uncaged, and pinnacle as if we didn’t have a very limited map selection to begin with. And adding swat magnums made things worse. Unless the connection is perfect, you can hardly get a headshot, wich promotes bodyshots, and melee attacks. Swat is about headshots, not a one shot melee. As a competitive swat player, I’d like to see a better map selection, less magnum game types, and better connection. Some community maps would be great for swat. Give us something new. I have two great maps that I made my self that I made just for swat. Although a lot of the halo 4 players think reach is dead, it’s not. It still lives on. And to help its fan base, we need more maps! The same goes for snipers. Hemorage got old a long time ago. Honestly, halo 4 isn’t much better in these gametypes. The map selection isn’t too good. The same maps all the time. That’s why I came back to reach, and now, I’m getting bored of reach. I know I’m not the only one who is getting bored of halo swat and sniper gametypes. 343, if you don’t do something, you’re going to lose a lot of your fan base. Swat is one of the largest gametypes population wise, and many are leaving because they are just simply getting bored of the small map selection. I’m not complaining, I’m informing 343 on what most of the halo reach and 4 swat community is saying.

Please reserve Halo Support for support issues only. We’ll be moving this to the proper section. =)

I can’t believe a 343 post appeared on a Reach post…

What they really need to do is ban button jumper control layouts from SWAT and boot people if they stand still for more than 10 seconds. I can’t stand playing against people that need to jump and camp corners to get kills. I won’t even bother playing Swordbase anymore cause all anyone wants to do is hide in that lift room. I don’t jump, camp, crouch, or pummel in SWAT and I go positive.

For the record, I’m one of the people who demanded that removal of the bad kid spawn killing map (aka Pinnacle). Cage too, for that matter. Zealot is the best SWAT map, IMO, cause it’s the most anti-camp. Walk around and see who’s quicker on the trigger. THAT is SWAT. I actually betray teammates when they try to camp on Zealot.

Hey man, I like using Bumper Jumper :frowning:

Obviously you’re one of those kids who didn’t care enough to learn how to break a set-up and get into his own. Probably a solo-searcher too. Blue spawn on pinnacle was the most fun because players actually had to, you know, use their heads and do a little work to get and maintain the advantage.

I’ll agree with you on sword base, simply because the map is so closed-off. But it’s not impossible to break out of blue spawn there either.

Zealot is a pretty good map. I like the feel of it, yeah. Love it a lot. But lemme ask you this.

How do you define camping? Four players holding the entire top portion of the map? Or just simply the kid who waits in the vent with his butt-buddy?

Miss those maps every day. maybe they could put some dlc or anniversary maps in there for everyone . Camp no camp whatever works for you. We need a variety of maps to be played differently to make swat more fun . I don’t use the same strategy for Boardwalk as I do for Zealot.

All the appropriately sized DLC maps from each mapack are already in SWAT. You just need to be matched with a full lobby of DLC owners for them to have a chance of showing as voting options (unless Sword Base shows, then you have no chance to play on them).

That’s not gonna happen unless you’re running with 8s.

Both. Doesn’t matter if it’s the whole team or 2 people. They run to the same exact spots every time they spawn to just stand there/crouch/jump/whatever, and that’s camping. Whether it’s the life room or high vent on swordbase, the top hallway on Reflection, whatever. I walk laps around the map and go positive. You should too. Camping is for CoD bad kids. It’s like the idiots in slayer who hide in the corner (or at the top of a lift) with a sword standing still so they don’t appear on radar and there’s pretty much nothing you can do when you walk by and get sworded. Then they -Yoink!- like they’re good or something. Grow up and do something that requires skill.

Lol so how about you be more careful in your approach to those rooms? People complain about things that they can control. So grab those plasmas on the middle floor and rat em out!

Well obviously you have no idea what you’re talking about. A set-up is not camping. Holding down the entire top side of a map is not camping. If you want to whine, do it somewhere else.

Forgive my delay, I had personal things to deal with.
