So me and my friend played swat together to get ranked. He got diamond 1 with winning 5 out of 10 games, and went down about 20 kills. I went up 35 kills, had more assists, and won the same number of games but got ranked plat 4. Anyone wanna explain how?
Dont forget that your previous seasons mmr carries over a bit so a person who plays worse in placement could still place higher if they finished the previius season with a higher rank.
Eg.
Player 1 ends season 1 diamond 4
Player 2 ends season 1 plat 1.
Player 2 could outperform player 1 7/10 times but still rank lower eg
Player 1 places diamond 1 in season 2
Player 2 places plat 4 in season 2
but actually player 2 has closed the gap on player 1 compared to the previous season.
This isnt set in stone but does fit what i see happening. if you are on the same team then the gains made appear to be less though.
