Does anyone else feel like they get a lower placing rank in swat than you’d expect based on your performance in the 10 games played? Compared to a similar performance in slayer for example.
It’s based on wins and loses, not performance
My understanding was for the first ten games to place you in a rank it’s based on individual performance. Then once you are placed you can only rank up by winning?
Nope, only win percentage matters
My win percentage is roughly the same in other game types excluding FFA, and my rank is higher in those games than it is in swat
I got ranked higher in SWAT than any other playlist ever. Weird.
Yeah individual performance definitely counts for placement matches. I played all but 1 of 10 team slayer placement matches with a friend yesterday - then he got ranked diamond 5 whereas mine was only platinum 4! I didn’t know beforehand that it was more than just wins that counted.
I do find it difficult to rank up in SWAT though, they definitely made it a lot stricter after the first season.
The swat rankings are mess. Barely 1000 people got onyx last season and i think the cutoff for champion was like csr 1600. And diamond was very low too. I think 343 nerfed it after preseason but way overdid it. I mean even getting plat is a big achievement in it.
