Swat ranking

First off, I dont really care just wondering if someone can explain this. I win 60% of games in swat with a 1.48 kd ratio and I get ranked in gold. What’s up with that?

That’s how it happened for everyone. They skewed it down because of the rankings people were receiving last season.

Season 1, 11.2 KDA, 90% win and ranked in Plat 2. They reduced the initial ranking by a lot compared to preseason.

They changed the algorithm today I believe. realistically that is around were you should be, there are 7 ranks in total, (bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, onyx, champion) though onyx is CSR 1500-1799 and champ is CSR 1800 as of the change today. So really when it comes to the algorithm there is only six (excluding champion in this) you won 60% of your games with a relatively decent KD. the 4th rank is platinum which is around the 66% mark, your just under that but not below 50% so I would assume you made gold rank 2/3 right. Mathematically you are around were you should be.

Im not stating this is exactly how it works but how I perceive it to work. The CSR numbers I sated for ONYX and champion are true however. You cannot become a champion after your first 10 placements matches, those matches can at max mark you as CSR 1700, so you would have to work to become a champ. They just changed that system today.

In theory you keep going up till you get 50% wins

And it can’t be purely based on win percent for the placement, who you’re beating is the main factor, so getting 50% against onyx should put you straight in onyx

I did not put this into my calculations do to being unable to factor that in which is why I stated mine may not be correct or completely correct. Who you play against does play a factor, everyone may be unranked but the system considers them what they were the previous season. If you beat them the system will place you against harder individuals, if you lose you go against easier opponents. That coupled with win percentage gives you a CSR which is coupled with a rank.

I was wondering how all this works also. I was so excited to start this season fresh, since Last season I somehow got put into Gold at the start, and ended up making it up to Platinum 6, and then bouncing around from Platinum 6 down to 3, and I think ended up at Platinum 3 in Team Slayer. I only play Team Slayer Solo, so its a crap shoot.

However today I played my 10 placement games, and read on here somewhere that the 10 placement games rates you on KDA, and not so much wins. I went 6-4 in the first 10 games with a 5.7KDA, and got Platinum 2. Thought I would get a little bit higher, like P5-6

I don’t think anyone knows exactly how it works, besides 343.

Pre season onyx, 1st season plat4 with 100% wins and 10+kDa something is and was off in swat

its a ladder ranking system

it is meant to be climbed

Not to hype myself up to much but im better than gold. I probably belong in high platinum low diamond. I got platinum in team arena and had a lower kd and lower win percentage, so what you are saying doesn’t make sense.

I understand this and have climbed from platinum to onyx and gold to diamond the last season in TA and slayer. I dont even play swat and really don’t care just thought it was odd.

All the people that played in pre season got way to high ranks.

Its still pretty weird i did just ok and got plat5

Yer I got Onyx in SWAT like most people pre-season. Good look for your stats page, but shouldn’t have been there and was rightfully dominated lol

I don’t like the idea that it’s part luck than…if it depends on who I play? What if I play all golds from the previous season? So I should want to play better players.

Just another ranking that i got to say the ranking system for the first 10 games doesnt make sense. 2.44 kd ratio 70% win ratio and I get put in gold 2 in breakout. Makes no sense.
