Swat rank wont move. (Onyx rating)

Just as the title would suggest I’m having issues with my swat rank not moving.I’m onyx in the playlist, the first win I get per day my rank moves.Then, after that regardless of how many games I win on my rank it wont move. For example today my first win put me at 1770. I’ve won 5 games in a row on that and have yet to move up. I’m also playing with a party, one of my party members started the day below me in onyx rating and has gone up every win. He has now passed me and he still continues to move up even farther.

Note: We are winning games against players with higher onyx ranks than myself and I have yet to move up.

There’s actually going to be a new update to CSR stuff with the new update:

Some of you have noticed the ranking distribution for the SWAT and FFA playlists was a bit skewed, causing lots of players to end up in Onyx. We’ve confirmed this was occurring, and to correct this we have made adjustments to the CSR curve for these playlists. Additionally, the Multiplayer team has made some changes to placement match logic to address the issue of players placing too high across all playlists, and the new settings will ensure that your skill is more accurately represented coming out of placement. As always, we’ll be keeping a close eye on your feedback once these changes go live.

Yeah…You’re right 1770 onyx is my skill ceiling. Lolno. I would encourage you to look at my performance during these games. Playing “better” during these situations is simply not answer. The fact is I win games (not just 1 or 2 but 5+) on my rank and it wont move. These games are also won against players with a higher ELO. My teammates with lower onyx ELO perform worse game by game yet they still rank up.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the post :slight_smile:

I just hope this resolves my issue. I’ve had this problem since I earned the rank during the first 2 days the game was out. And as I said in my OP I only gain ELO off my first win of the day so something is clearly not working properly.

Yes that is the answer. If you want your CSR to move, you need to play better (or do worse). That is the only answer. Play better, and you will see a better score.
It’s not kill higher ranked people, that isn’t want your CSR is. CSR is a combination of statistics and ratios that determine your overall score and that score represents your skill. You want a better CSR? Then play better than you already do.

Highest rank I’ve achieved is champ 32 in FFA. 1770 onyx is not my skill ceiling. You also don’t seem to understand how the ranking system actually works. If you play better than and win against players with higher ELO, your own ELO goes up. The fact is my rank ONLY moves up my first win of the day. You also suggested that if I preform worse my ELO will go down. This is not the case. As I have been saying my rank only MOVES ONCE PER DAY this includes the lack of a demotion after a loss.

I got all these wins on my 1770 onyx and it didn’t move in any direction once. You seem to think I need to preform better during these games while (as you can see from the links) I’m the best player in the lobby all but one time where I placed 2nd on my team. To put it simply I carry. I don’t need to do better.

This is the last game I played in swat that day. We lost it, and as you can see no demotion.

Below is a quote from 343i’s “Enter the Arena” post about how the ranking system works. You keep telling me I need to play better in these games but you don’t seem to know how the ranking system works. Playing better has no affect on if you rank up or not. Winning, and only winning matters. My rank does not increase after I win multiple games against higher ranked people as shown above. This is a problem that directly contradicts how the ranking system is intended to work.

i have exact same problem in btb , teammates suck but we always win and yet my csr does not move ever, even while my teammates below me go up and pass me yet im MVP every game and they can barely function in kills

yes i had the same big problem. i killed lots of enemies but it is still 0.

and i’d like to ask why i haven’t unlocked any medals in halo waypoint, but in game , it had??+in bonus i won a match but it didn’t display it, and i won no prizes.
