Placed Platinum 2
All of these matches I searched solo, and backed out to the menu around every other match. In the preseason I placed Diamond 1 and cruised my way to Onyx searching solo. I know that the SWAT and FFA playlists have been adjusted so that the ranks aren’t as inflated as the preseason but my gripe isn’t with the rank directly. My complaint is that I won’t be matched with better players (at my skill level) after being the top performer in 8 out of 10 games. If everyone was moved down I should still be matched with people of my skill level, just in a lower rank. I even got my first H5 Arena Running Riot in game 8 …
All of this is sort of moot, I can just play through the levels back up to Onyx, but it seems like that defeats the purpose of the placement matches. I love Halo, I know it’s almost cliché to say these days, but I have been playing since CE and was at the midnight release for Halo 2. That won’t change just because of a lower rank, but if someone could shed some light on my placement, I’d appreciate it.
