The current map set does not work too well for swat, I though it could never get worse than Reach (Red team always has the advantage) but Halo has told me other wise.
It is a constant game of Hide and Seek or Kill and Die because the guy spawned behind you.
One of the primary blames is also instant respawn, the person that just got a kill has no time to recover or relocate.
I’ll go down the maps and what makes them terrible for swat.
> Haven
Just bland out terrible for Swat.
The respawns are way too random, there is no place for map controll(some may say the middle but if you just stick to the sides you can easily take them out) and you get killed from behind 90% of the time. Keep this for FFA but don’t put it in Swat.
> Adrift
A giant down side is that the indication for red and blue base are sometimes hard to see.
Map control seems to be camping in your own base(seriously easiest way to win the game).
> Solace
Nobody votes for it, I believe it could work out great.
I have had the problem in Slayer Pro that the enemy team constantly spawns in my base.
Seriously 343 spawn should either be your own base or near the center of the map but not in the enemies base.
Map control probably once again lays inside the bases.

Abuse of the glitch hole.
BR is practically useless
Slow map flow.
Very campy.

Best map, only down side is again the way to random spawm.
Map control is logical, centeral building, except that camping in Gold seems like a more affordable and easier to hold tactic.
Come on 343, you got the gameplay right now do something about the maps
There is barely any variety and the maps are not made out for Swat, best thing is asymmetrical maps but Halo 4 lacks those.
I hope you will put in Forge Maps soon because most of these just don’t work out.
