First and foremost, just want to say Thank You 343i for updating the Infection playlist because I literally just posted yesterday that it would be great if they refreshed the map rotation, so thanks!
Now to the point of my thread:
I have loved SWAT since H2 and it has always been one of my number one competitive game modes that I usually dominate in. The one problem that has been present on and off in every Halo title are the spawns and hitbox inconsistencies.
On many of the maps, the game will many times spawn you right in front of or behind your enemies. Many times I have gotten triple kills and overkills because I spawned literally 1ft behind the enemy team and they had no clue I was there. The opposite has happened to me as well, where I will spawn directly in front of an enemy, who in some games literally just killed me the second before. This is game breaking at times because if you’re tied and only need 2-4 kills to win and an enemy spawns behind you and/or your teammates, they will win because of a ridiculous spawn.
The other issue is the hitbox inconsistencies. There are times when you will barely even shoot close to an opponent’s head and you will get a headshot. Other times you will hit the person directly in the face like 4 times and get no kill, but they will snapshoot you and get an instant kill. One problem that has been in every single Halo title is the horrible hitbox for the back of the head. You can hit someone a billion times and they will just jump around and boost away or spin and snapshoot you in the face and kill you.
I love SWAT, but these types of things are annoying and I hope 343i will figure out a way to fix them since Bungie never did in their games.
As in Halo 2, the only way to get headshots consistently is to sweep your shots across the persons head, rather than shoot their head directly, but even this fails at times.
Either way, this is a concern of mine. Let me know your experiences below!
