So will swat in halo 4 use the DMR or the BR? Personally I would prefer the DMR, I think one shot suits the game type better.
Maybe there will be both, but separate gametypes. As in SWAT BRs and SWAT DMRs, like how there is Slayer DMRs in Reach. I think they have to be separate for the sake of balance in SWAT.

I think it would be easier with the br since you got that 3-shot burst. That way if you miss the headshot by a hair you can correct your aim in mid-shot.

This is what I was thinking. SWAT DMRs, SWAT BRs and SWAT Magnums maybe even a Lightrifle variant.

For the sake of skill DMR. BR is more forgiving since you can miss two bullets and get lucky with the third, plus you can kinda spray with it. DMR is all or nothing

I agree with this. Swat should only use single shot weapons.

Thats why I think it should be the DMR, Swat is supposed to be a game type where you need to be fast and accurate so the one shot forces you to be more accurate.
SWAT BR’s, SWAT DMR’s, SWAT MAGNUM’s…
SWAT SCATTER-SHWATGUNS… lol
