Just read the weekly bulletin and SWAT is being removed the week after next? It’s nearly as popular as Infinity Slayer and Infinity Big Team, why would you remove it?
Also, when will we get variations of game types in playlists? Like crazy king in KOTH and the hot potato oddball variant (I forgot what it was called)?
> And?
> I’m afraid people like me, enjoy the game and all it has already/ bringing something back from the dead is doomed to fail anyhow.
Doomed to fail? SWAT pulls the same numbers as Infinity Slayer. Even if it didn’t though that’s irrelevant, just because one playlist is less popular doesn’t mean it should be removed.
> I believe it is one of the rotational playlists. It will come and go as 343 pleases.
This sounds about right to me. Having it come back once a month sounds about correct. If I had to guess, Team Snipers, Extraction, and possibly even Grifball will follow.

Farming dos headshot commendations. ofc its that popular
They will probably add it permanently once they optimize all the settings for it. In my opinion SWAT as it is needs a few changes before it really works, most notably instant respawns need to go and the entire spawn system needs work. At least once or twice a game I get killed, instantly respawn, and headshot the guy that killed me before he has a chance to even reload his weapon. And I’m sure the reverse happens to me as well. Don’t know about you but I enjoyed SWAT a lot better when there weren’t 9 million people constantly spawning around you in every direction.
Rotational gametypes aren’t permanent until made so. You should feel lucky SWAT is staying a week to “compete” with Team Snipers rather than being rotated instantly out.
Certain playlists shouldn’t be completely static nor 1 week rotational.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder and removing certain playlists, if only for 1-3 weeks, can actually be healthier for the communities as a whole than giving us what we want 24/7.
For instance, it’s not until you realise that you may not have SWAT for even a short time that you truly understand how much you love it. But it’s not the only fun gamemode in Halo and it’s only be playing other modes do you understand that too.

What a horrid opinion this is.
Why should feel LUCKY that we have a popular playlist from H3 and Reach in the H4 matchmaking for 2 weeks, just so they can force their newly created ,unpopular, and frankly dreadful playlists like Regicide and the new CTF.
> I believe it is one of the rotational playlists. It will come and go as 343 pleases.
And that shouldn’t happen.
Playlists should be dictated by the community, the people who actually paid and plays the game.
All of these missing gametypes should have been in matchmaking in the first place, and should not be removed on a weekly basis.
Keep them there so people who enjoy the gametype can play it, just removing it within a week will just piss people off, which in turn shorten the longevity of Halo 4’s multiplayer again.
At this rate, Halo 4’s multiplayer is probably going to die twice as quick as Reach’s did.
343 needs to get it’s head out of its -Yoink-, and listen to community.
The positive reaction SWAT has received ought to tell 343 that it’s a huge fan favorite. If they want to rotate in other playlists, cool, but I hope SWAT becomes permanent in the near future.

Wait, so I won’t be able to play my favourite playlists whenever I want?
Something that is obviously as popular as SWAT (and Team Snipers when it is released) needs to stay in. The whole point of being a CASUAL gamer is for me to jump online when I get home and play what I want to play. Don’t misunderstand me, if you look at my service record you will see that I am not a huge SWAT fan, but a large portion of the community is.
If a playlist is popular, don’t remove it. Ever. I see no logic in an argument for the ‘health’ of the community being supported by removing popular playlists. Especially in the weeks after CoD:BO2 being released. Gamers are fickle and impulsive people. They will simply sell H4 and buy CoD:BO2 if they aren’t getting what they want when they want it. It’s that simple.

you misread it, SWAT is NOT leaving this week. they said it’s so popular, they’re keeping it in for another week, along with Team Snipers.
