I just want to ask you that,do you also thought back in 2009 (or 2010) when we heard that in Reach we get a Spartan team, that we can give command to our Spartan team mates just like now in Guardians?
As far as I thought that Reach is going to be like SW Republic Commando.
Well, the main reason why I expected Halo 5 to be somewhat like Republic Commando is because of Tim Longo.
When I first listened about Reach, I never thought about Republic Commando.
I actually did hope for something like republic commando when Reach was first announced. I was pretty disappointed when I played through the campaign and realized that Noble Team was next to useless. Here’s hoping that Halo 5 will whet the appetites of many Republic Commando fans longing for another taste of that.
Truth be told, the first thing that came to mind when I heard about Reach was Rainbow Six Vegas (both of them), albeit with more characters. I loved ordering teammates around in R6V and am sooooo looking forward to doing it again–with SPARTANS!!!

I honestly didn’t think about giving commands for Reach. Remember, you were a member of the team, not the leader.

Yeah, but I had hope that we’ll be team leaders.
It’s not impossible that they heavily considered and even tried it.
When you had marines around some of their names would appear at your radar. So I think it may have been on its way in.
