I was suspended for 7 days last night. I have no idea why. I would like to know the reason. I do not cheat nor do I know how to so I am really confused as to why this happened.
Thanks,

There’s a lot of DNFs on your recent game history. Quiting too much gets you banned
You have lot’s of dnf that could be the reason.
You will not receive an answer from 343.
I agree with the other posters. I see a great many DNF games, so I suspect this is the reason for your suspension.
Well I was going to say if you quit too many games that could do it. But you guys covered that. All I can say if that was the case is: even if your losing by 300 points, you’d get more respect as someone who accepted defeat as opposed to someone who quit.
I have voluntarily quit very few times but I am constantly booted because of what I assumed to be connection issues. Maybe this registers as quitting??

It does count as DNF’s, but the system detects unintentional quits and ignores them. If the ban was done for quiting, then you might have intentionaly quit too many games.
The banhammer will fall if you constantly disconnect from the game. I recommend troubleshooting your network, getting your house in order and checking with your ISP.
Here’s a good place to start:
I play Halo 4 and COD Ghosts regularly. I get disconnected from halo all the time but have not one time been disconnected from the COD game. I just really don’t understand how an honest paying recreational gamer can be suspended with no explanation.
PS: I much prefer Halo 4 CTF:)
this should be in the banned questions thread i think…

It is.

You have an explanation, you quit thus you got banned, with unintentional not counting you only have yourself to blame, sorry dude but you shouldnt purposely quit.

Pretty much what everyone said. There are a lot of DNF’s. That’s mostly the answer on why you got banned. Personally, the only time I would quit a game if its really, really bad. If its alright, stay in the game.
Where can I view DNF? Like I said I don’t quit very often but I am constantly booted. I have played halo matchmaking since day 1 of halo 2 from the same house and same chair under the same gamer tag. This is my 1 and only suspension.
As other members have replied there are official FAQs/threads for BAN reasons. Also if this is your first suspension it will only be temporary and you’ll be back playing Halo in no time.
If you’re not quitting and getting disconnections perhaps contact your ISP and check your modem/router settings to optimise your connection to avoid future DNFs. You can check your game history by clicking the Halo 4 icon in the top right of the Waypoint website when you’re logged in.
Please use the official BAN thread(s) and refrain from posts like this regarding bans. This topic was locked as it’s against the rules to question bans and make posts about it. Cheers.
