Suspended for Refusing to Sword Line

I don’t post on forums, but I’m not going down without at least reaching out.

Plain and simple, I refused to participate in a mindless xp boosting conga-line and I was reported by all 7 other players in the lobby for doing so. I would grab the bomb, and plant it. I actually played a large number of games over the weekend during the Double XP event, most of which being Grifball as I actually enjoy it. I’m sure, based on my experience over the weekend, that this is an alien concept. More than 90% of the games I played, I was flamed for refusing to participate. I was called offensive names, racism came into play a surprising amount of times, teamkilled, harrassed outside of MCC, & of course, unjustly reported for defending myself. It was overall just messy…

Now, I wouldn’t be surprised if I got reported over the course of the weekend via other matches with people throwing tantrums after I refused and “ruined” their “sword lines” & overall game experience- in which case I’d find more plausible as to why I got suspended. I feel there is a handful of issues here, but I prefer to work on finding and working on the ones I can. Whether it be my narrow-mindedness towards “sword lines” or, at the very least knocking my suspension down some time. I never cheated nor participated in anything that would have me reasonably suspended.

Thanks for your time & maybe one day I won’t be looked at as a weirdo for liking Grifball! In retrospect, I did meet some hilarious and fantastic new friends in these trenches, which is a shame because I won’t be able to play with them over this holiday season. I’m not angry, I’m confused and sad at the display of maturity this weekend. Happy holidays and stay warm my dudes!

I wonder though, under what category could you possibly report someone for for playing the game as intended?

The thing is that they didn’t reported him for playing the game as intended, they used other reasons that probably are wrong.

The report system is probably (at 99%) a bot, so, if the bot see like 7 reports to the same person maybe he can get a ban or something. This happen on any online game.
