Survivor, seriously 343, seriously?

Right, so as most of you are aware we now have two new perks. The one in question here ejects from a vehicle thats about to explode. So you can survive being splasored, blown up by rockets, sniped etc (So long as you yourself aren’t being hit) But really, what genius thought that up? That is ridiculous. So, so, so stupid. Words cannot comprehend. It doesn’t even make sense. Also the fact that Plasma’s will still kill you if they are the cause of the vehicles exploding…so stupid.

Whats everyone else’s thoughts on this new perk?

Pretty sweet, I’ll use it in BTB since I primarily use vehicles. Not really that big of a deal I think, over time I don’t think folks will consistently use it.

Surely now people are going to be persuaded to aim at the people, not necessarily a bad thing, not necessarily a good thing, but it should make you so you’re one shot from death

We’ll see. So far how has it been for you in the games you played with people using it?

Looks like someone had their first kill-stolen-by-ejection…

Just give it a minute. The novelty will wear off, and people will realize it is actually a detriment to run that mod rather than other more useful mods.

This will rock in CTF so I can carry the flag in the passenger seat and survive when the vehicle is destroyed on the way to the base. If we all have it, coupled with jetpacks all three occupants can just eject and fly away to safety like little angels of fiery doom.

Oops, double post.

I heard it doesnt work on Hogs and Mongooses. Anybody tried this yet?

I actually just watched a video on youtube that proved otherwise. At least in the Mongoose it works.

Thank God grenade plants still work. Now make it useless against heavy weapons and I will be happy with it.

Yaarr I like thee survivor mod matey, allows me to abandon ship before she sinks.

I think it only should work against “normal bullet” weapons, like all standard weapons, saw… But I find it ridiculous that you can eject when you’re hit with a spartan laser, rockets, mantis-rockets. That is just stupid imho.

Sorry, but why are “perks” even in Halo to begin with? I’m not too keen on this Survivor nonsense, makes it far too easy to escape death.

if you think thats bad wait until resistor comes out. sigh people will not slow down when shot while sprinting anymore

It’ll be cool and hilarious if they ejected and got splattered by a low flying Banshee…or if said Banshee gets hijacked that way.

I am in complete agreement that this is a little kid move for people who cant position vehicles or just flat out get caught in a bad spot. If you vehicle explodes you should explode with it. I have no respect for people who use this ability. This was the last straw in confirming that this is my last halo game before it officially changes its name to “Call of Halo”

I think it is a Nice Incentive to use Vehicles, and I love nothing more than Turning a Hog or Banshee into Burning Scrap, Doesn’t matter to me if the Person Survives, They will be standing in the Middle of the Field, Probably in Enemy Territory with no Vehicle. And they Still Lose a Valuable Vehicle in the Process.

Survivor:

Because knowing when to abandon your vehicle requires skill, and is thus stupid.

> Surely now people are going to be persuaded to aim at the people, not necessarily a bad thing, not necessarily a good thing, but it should make you so you’re one shot from death

As opposed to just shredding whatever vehicle it is with a few clips of DMR ammo.

Skill isn’t worth much when faced with plasma-spam.
