So I was playing infection yesterday night to get some clips for a infection montage I am going to be making soon. The map was storms end. On the first round I was spawn as a survivor. I picked up some AR ammo and I went to that place with the hydra launcher in it. As I was about to turn into that small hallway leading to the ledge I got shot by a gun and it did damage. At first I thought I might have been infected and I was so stupid that I thought I was a survivor but that was not the case. I was a survivor and he was a survivor. At the end of the battle me and the other guy killed each other with a shotgun and we infected each other! At that moment I knew I had to finish the match to see what the hell just happened. I went on the theater to investigate what just happened. I replayed my view of what happened in theater and then I replayed the other guys view. He was not infected before he was killed according to the scoreboard. He was a survivor just like I was. At first I thought this happened to him and another person and the game wanted them to be infected but forgot to make them infected so they just made them enemies of the survivors but that was not the case. There was 2 infected already in the map. So what I think what happened was the game was trying to make a 3rd infected but failed because only 2 people start out as infected so the game just made the 3rd infected into an enemy who was neither on the survivor team or the infected team (at least I think only 2 people start as infected I could be wrong) has this ever happened to anyone else? I tried searching up if this ever happened before and I couldn’t find anything.I took a 4 month break from the game so I don’t know if it is a common glitch or what. I played around 30 infection matches within the week and it has never happened until now. Also I am not saying this is a problem I just wanted to share it with all of you. Tell me if I just found a great discovery or if this is nothing new. Once again the video link is right Here if you want to see it
Looks like the server was drunk. Seemed like he was supposed to be an alpha flood. And by you showing the roster at the start, the alpha floods didn’t show as infected, have swords, or any infected traits other then showing up as hostile on the motion tracker. He wasn’t a survivor, he was supposed to be alpha flood. Don’t know what you ad gotten yourself into, but just shows the quality of 343’s “dedicated” servers
I wish I was in that game, being a broken zombie would’ve been fun/funny.

Yeah If I didn’t kill him he could have killed a lot of other survivors with power weapons and people would be just as confused as I was.
