Survival gametype/Infinity games

This is another semi serious thread about something that could possibly be cool. Ok so this would be a survival style gametype like the hunger games, the games would be an hour or an hour and a half. Everyone would spawn fairly close with no weapons, everyone has sprint and nothing else. They all spawn near the cornucopia and the maps would be the size of 5 invasion maps. The cornucopia would have all weapons in it but you’re best bet is to run, once you’re dead you’re dead,no respawning. So you can stay and fight or run. There would be a ton of places to hide BUT if you stay in one place to long then the map would send something out that would potentially kill you, like crawlers or light the area on fire or have auto turrets shoot at you,BUT you can also use these to your advantage. You can call in ordnance a choice of one weapon a power-up(Something to help you) or a side arm.Weapons you can call in are the sniper riffle or the shotgun, and for powerups/AAs you can call in active camo, hardlight shield,Promethean Vision, active camo will also be avalible as a power up but extremly hard to find. Weapons will also be found around the map like other games. You don’t want to give away you’re position either.Near the end of the game like the hunger games who ever is left will be forced out from where they are to the cornucopia so the last can fight. You can set up traps for the others also death draps or traps to keep them in place. Or…coughcoughrocktrapscough.

No. It sounds good on paper, but not in reality. It would be very boring until you find the enemy to kill. And having one life would be even worse.

If you had more lives people wouldn’t take it to seriously, and there are other things to do and it could have like 50 people or something, shouldn’t be to hard to find someone who doesn’t know what there doing out in the open.

The maximal amount of players in a Halo game is 16 and it won’t get higher soon.

Well,we could always make it smaller map and shorter time.

Fixing that would make the games too short. If the map was smaller, players would find each other way too fast, and with one life, it would make the games take only 2-4 minutes each. I think it would hardly take 3 minutes.

Then suggest some fixes? ._.

The gametype won’t work. Introducing a new fix would create a new flaw. Sorry, but maybe you should come up with another idea and think out every part of it.

Don’t worry about bad ideas, such stuff happened to me too. Just keep making new ones and as long as you can maturely accept criticism and respond in a positive way, I think you are contributing to community well enough.

Fair enough :). It was only a semi serious thread XD.

No. No one wants to play a game for that long. It’d be very boring, and they’d probably have to get permission from the people who manage the Hunger Games. This is Halo, not the Hunger Games.

Just make a Forge gametype and play it in Custom with friends.

It wasn’t totoally serious, and no they wouldn’t need permison from the creator of the hunger games, guild wars 2 already did something similar. And its just a game mode, teaching spartans survival, idk.
