Survival Forge

============
Survival Forge

I have a lot of awesome ideas for what they could do with there next game. In this thread I will be explaining in depth on how this would work.

Ok. Survival Forge, you are put in the middle of an array of enemies surrounding you. At first when the game start you start off with a very small budget to work with. (ex 50 budget) As you go though the waves, your budget will increase and at the same time the enemies will get harder to fight off. Also, you will have a limited amount of time to build your base until the next wave of enemies approach you.

You would be able to buy ammo and different guns as you progress. If you get fare enough and need the extra support you can call in marines, ODSTs or even other spartans to help you fight off the enemy. Spartans will cost you the most of course.

The enemy will adapt to your tactics and your moves as the waves go by and you will have to find more ways to take them out instead of the same way. So if your sniping your enemies round after round and it would feel easy. The game would would read how many kills you have with a certain weapons and if you have say 100 kills with a sniper, the enemy will start using what your using, so it wont be as easy because there using your tactic and strategy.

Skulls will also be added to the enemy as waves go to buff up there difficulty. Also, the enemies traits will be adjusted such as how much shields they have, if there immune to assassinations or not, how much damage they can do, how fast there able to move, etc. (not done in the game settings, the game itself will buff them up as the waves go)

There would be limitations to how you could build your base so you don’t make yourself invincible. You will not be able to enclose yourself from the enemy.

So basically it’s a mixture between Forge and Firefight. (More intelligent AI though)

This most definitely can be done on the Xbox One

MORE WILL BE ADDED OVERTIME

i’ve been asking for this since reach.

I just thought of the idea and I thought it would be cool so I came to the forums, but knowing 343 they would mess up the whole idea.

Sounds like minecraft.

Weapons - UNSC Weapons - Spawn rocket Launcher - I win.

Like you have a short time to build something then enemies show up and you can’t build anything else until that wave is beaten? I like it

yeah well that’s not the point, the point is to make up your own challenges

what he means is like farcry 3, enemy deployment spawns/enemy spawns and a survival mode gametype.

I never played Farcry before but if thats what they have now then cool.

It actually sounds more like mine craft than far cry 3…

Try Ace of Spades.

Pfftt. Try Hello Kitty Dream Carnival. You have to make a bunch of brownies and stuff before time runs out. Sometimes it gets intense when you have to add sprinkles. The music is hardcore as well.

That would be cool, you’d have to build your base from the ground up and would also have to purchase ammo. Now I think they could do something interesting with weapon and ammo systems. They could buy different kinds of ammo, like a one-time refill for the weapons they have, a new weapon with full clips, or a weapon case that has a couple different loadout weapons and grenades which refill between waves (obviously the most expensive) which your whole team can use.

You could also buy landmines and fusion coils to set traps for enemies, mounted turrets(beware, once removed from its stand it does not respawn), certain vehicles and even repairs for a really expensive vehicle such as a mantis, gauss hog, or scorpion.

As for enemies I would like to see them switch in waves between covies, forerunners and flood. You can scavange weapons from dead enemies but the clips won’t have much ammo which helps encourage buying your own weapons.

As for constructing your actual fort, a wall or two may be cheap but entire buildings may be expensive, and always remember to make a way into it if someone leaves, I would probably suggest creating funnels leading into your base so all of your enemies would be bottlenecked into one spot. It would also be useful coordinating with your team on how to properly build a base so you don’t waste credits on multiple idea that conflict with each other.

I feel like this gametype would provide hours of fun and entertainment even if it is a little Gears of War, Horde modish.

spawns 5 walls and ceiling. moves structure up to nominal headshotting distance. spawns dmr ordnance with 1 second respawn. covers ceiling head to toe in dominion turrets. activates. spawns rocket launcher ordnance with 1 second respawn just to be safe. moves walls just enough to make fire ports. shoots anything that can shoot me. also adds sniper rifle ordnance, with one second respawn. add all grenade types, also with 1 second respawn

ladies and gentlemen, my method to get over $1,000,000 worth of placement :L granted you cant get the required ingredients all at once but i digress

that said it does sound entertaining.

still looking for more people opinions

It would be easily broken.

This could easily work. You could limit the amount of ammo and weapons and make it so every wave you unlock a weapon and some forge pieces etc. Also make it so the enemies can destroy forge items if necessary.

Yeah, limitations would need to be put in place.

This reminds me of a Halo PC Firefight map now that I think of it. You could buy AI Marines to help you, barricades, new weapons that unlocked with waves, and ammo for whichever weapon you chose.

I’d love to see something like this on the Xbox, and this sounds even better.

The AI Marines idea is pretty cool. It would be awesome if they gave you ODST soldiers to fight along side you as well once the waves of enemies and the overall difficulty of the match has increased. Maybe even throw in a couple AI Spartans? Just a thought :stuck_out_tongue:

It would be nice if we could turn on Skulls too, or if the game automatically turned certain skulls on during certain waves, pretty much like it was in firefight.
