so in honor of grey team returning in halo:envoy
i decided to attempt to look like the members of gray team with what was aviable to use
so I used the gen 1 mark IV armor and the intruder helmet (cause that was the closest looking helm to what grey team wears) and each match I switch service rages from s-006 for jai, s-111 for Adrian and s-120 for mike
suprised I got no message about it
I think the amount of people in the general population that would know that would be pretty small and to even realize it in a random game would be even smaller.

I do agree. Most of the community have probably started getting into Halo by playing the game first and only some will dive deep into the lore and story. I actively got into the game in Halo 3 and getting into the lore came after like during Reach, but I only read like 3 books and only finished one (and that one was “The Flood”). Personally, people here will mostly likely talk about the game side of Halo while the books and lore are in a different section. Which is probably why some people are less likely to notice.
Also Halo: Envoy just got published today right? No many people would have caught on by now.
I’ve recently finished The Cole Protocol that introduces us to Grey Team. Good book.
I still attempt things like this but sadly most of the multiplayer community/casual doesn’t care about the deeper lore, which brings up another question, why does 343 listen to the people that say “we can’t understand and follow the story of your games, your using to much expanded universe lore” (summed up) those people obviously don’t care enough about the story in the first place otherwise they would actually be interested and start digging deeper (I’m not saying Halo 5’s story is the best but it isn’t the worst either)
Sorry went off topic there, I don’t thing Mark IV is a good body to use for Grey Team, but then again we can’t really mix and match so we are kinda limited lol
