Its BllSht. I play halo 5 almost everyday and I don’t have the most stable internet connection or a lot of free time so I always have to quit out of matches to either do some work or my internet just says no and disconnects me so I often get bans now and the best part is there now 24 hours long and i get them for leaving ONE MATCH. why. JUST WHY halo I paid 60 F*cking dollars for the game and it won’t even let me play multiplayer and the best part is there’s no causal arena mode for people like me so its to the point now every match I play i’m in fear of being dropped and banned and not being able to play halo for the rest of the day. don’t get me wrong though I love halo again I play it every day and its fun when it works its the damn super strict ban everyone for life because i want money matchmaking system that’s -Yoink!- me off, so riddle me this 343 why is there no causal arena mode where there no req gain just exp gain and that you can quit and join in anytime you want
Sure do love when people claim to quit just 1 game, but have 4 DNFs on the first page of their service record.
Use the official ban thread please.
check the dates

The dates don’t matter, actually. Your DNF games stockpile until you’re issued a ban (as far as I know). And your DNFs are rather close together anyway.

the dates do matter because yesterday i was banned for 24 hours and today I’ve got a new ban for 24 hours i played the 1st match and quit and then continued on to the second match and we won and then was given the ban and that doesn’t answer the question on why there’s no causal playlist with just exp gain

So you got 1 ban for 24 hours, and then the next day thought it would be fine to quit again out of the very first match? That logic.
The dates don’t matter. If you quit 10 games last week of January get banned for a day. Then don’t play till June and quit your first game back you will get banned.

If you stole something 2 months ago stole again today and got caught, you still stole twice, it doesn’t matter how long ago you quit you still quit on that game and you still quit on another game
it seems everyone is still missing the big question why is there no causal playlist. I know i’m a piece or Sh*t that shouldn’t exist on this earth but i would still like to play halo without the threat of getting banned

Lol nice!!!
also just don’t quit an you won’t be banned. Or play custom games
Admits to quitting and admits to bad internet but blames game which clearly states bans in effect for quitting… If I had bad internet I would be sure to NEVER QUIT A GAME so the disconnects would be my only dnfs… just saying… but enjoy your bans… maybe watch H5 on twitch

Well 343i isn’t going to change the -Yoink!- banhammer because of people like the ones commenting here who think quitting is worse than child murder. They also over inflate how big a deal quitters are, when the 4 previous Halo titles had a reasonable banhammer, and they played just fine.
Oh, and the banhammer thread does jack–Yoink-
What I find shameful here is the reaction of Badhammer fangirls making absolutely asinine comparison of quitting or DC-ing out of a match in a video game as akin to stealing!
On the note of the Banhammer, technically there is no ToS or contract of any kind at play other than the Xbox Live ToS. With that in mind, 343i is legally in the wrong by denying you the contents of the game that you paid for, which as advertised and displayed on your game’s casing, includes multiplayer gameplay.
Take that for what you will. I know that this ban stuff is BS, punishment is never as effective as incentive. Hell Reach didn’t punish and almost nobody ever quit.
As to the Badhammer fangirls trying to flame down the OP, chill the f*** out. It’s a video game. Real life happens, often unexpectedly. If you had any obligations or responsibilities, you’d know that.
Furthermore, no one is obligated to sit there and be your punching bag if it’s a bad match with the odds stacked against them. It’s not fun to get farmed, it’s not competitive or fair to be indiscriminately crushed by Onyx level players, smurfing in the Bronze ranks.
I’ll also remind you all that since the last few patches, random disconnects, game and server boots, server lag, and related problems have become increasingly more common. The Badhammer can’t distinguish a random boot from an actual quitter. With that being the case, the system has no business parsing out Bans. Period. The end.

Also true. You’re not obligated to post in the Badhammer megathread, and doing so will yield no results.
The only reason it was drafted up is so people affected by the piss poor Banhammer programming can waste time writing in a thread that is ignored by Mods, players, and 343i.
It’s pretty much the equivalent of them telling you to kick rocks or play in traffic. They don’t want to debate you like civilized adults, and they don’t want Banhammer threads crowding the forum displaying just how bad it really is.

The nonranked playlists are technically the casual playlists (even though they have hidden ranks), but 343 decided to keep the banhammer for those playlists as well.

This is fun. First I’d seen it go this far. Typically we just get the “It was one quit!” After Waypoint sleuths have our game history fun, the story usually ends. Nobody has tried the fruitless, “Yeah well those weren’t today!”

Classic defense.

Lol, wow, you should read those terms of service a little better. You have a right to the game, but not online content when you break the rules.
