It looks like it replaces the smg, because its inaccurate and range and has a fast fire rate. thoughts?
Looks and shoots very cool, very Metroid Prime. I love it.
Only gripe is that it has a very large bullet spread with a relatively weak strength. Needs to find a middle ground.
I disagree, i think it functions more as a saw you can spawn with. It starts out being fairly accurate, but as you use it the bloom becomes fairly large. It deblooms quickly and the cycle repeats.
^ Which is a function appropriate for a Short-Medium weapon like the Assault Rifle moreso that a Plasma Rifle-esque Short range weapon, right?
I wish we had a gun like the Plasma Rifle from Halo: CE, it was still very accurate at a pretty long range. Now every automatic gun is only useful at close range.

Crawlers seem to shoot the Suppressor much more accurately over distance than the player can. It’s damn hard to score kills in Multiplayer with this weapon, but in Campaign or Spartan Ops, it’s so easy to get hosed down by a Crawler mob.
The Supperssor to me was the worst gun to start off with, even the other automatics have a better draw to it. The UNSC and Covanant versions at least have accuracy or ability to use abilites at the same time but the supperssor? nope! Horrible accuracy, its even horrible at it’s own close range comabt unless your in punching distance and even then… punching is the better choice when fighting at that close range.
If you manage to hit all of your shots its an extremely powerfull weapon at close range.
The biggest problem I found with it is its hit detection, so its hard to use effectively off-host.
The suppressor is a great weapon, however in mutiplayer games it is very hard weapon to stay effective with because of it’s slow moving rounds large spread. You basically have to move in hugging range and aim where you think your target is going to move.

The suppressor is a fantastic weapon, but could do with slightly smaller spread. I do love the sound though, as it is one of the best sounding guns in the game.

when i first played halo 4 it was a really handy weapon for me so i used it a lot now i just use the br or dmr or ar
Personally, I believe you must be either;
A) Good
B) Stupid
C) Ballsy
To use the Suppressor on any map that doesn’t normally restrict movement and firing lines to 30 feet. If you want to shoot at anything past 75 feet, forget about it. Not that I haven’t been able to use the Suppressor effectively. But it definetly has a skill curve to it that most can’t properly handle. It goes so far beyond a “Spray and Pray” weapon, moreso than even the SAW, which is twice as accurate, at least.
I may be underestimating it, but it does seem to have a very wide-spread, and doesn’t seem to be very effective. I am only going to use it when the rest of my weapons are mastered first…
