umm whats this gun good for again? that the AR can’t do better??? PLUS… It can’t kill 2 enemies with a single clip like the other guns can. So after you kill one… YOU HAVE TO RELOAD… getting you killed. It’s the same thing as the REACH AR…
And before you say it’s good… I DARE you to use it yourself in 5 games. The bolts of light travel slower than the freakin plasma pistol… then whey should be instant… BECAUSE ITS HARD LIGHT. And why do the boltshot rounds travel instantly but the suppressors don’t???
Well I just got done using it the majority of the weekend. The thing is great for protecting Objectives and it can gun down an AR user in half the time that an AR could. The thing is super fast and really good for close range. I use it as my main Loadout weapon to be honest.
I find it more effective than the AR on small confined maps. I like to think of it as more of a SMG than an AR. Using it on Big Team is suicide as the AR is much more effective than the Suppressor at medium range.

343 did confirm that is in fact a Forerunner SMG rather than a Forerunner Assault Rifle. I believe it was in one of their commentaries on Solace before the game was released.
In close encounters i jump around like a bunny. The BR or DMR can’t keep up with those shots raining down on them. Standing there going shot for shot against a BR or DMR will just get you killed most of the time.
it excels in close ranges i use it all the time with firepower and the light rifle, i have only ever had a problem with it on mid ranges, bullet spread is a bit to wide to do enough damage, its a decent clip though
I don’t think it is intended to be categorized with the AR or Storm Rifle, to me it seems more effective at mid-close while others are more effective at mid range.
I don’t think I’ve ever lost to an AR if I’ve been using suppressor, it annihilates at close range. The only reason I ever use Firepower is to have it as my secondary.
Storm rifle though, now there’s a useless weapon unless you’re in a pair with someone who picks them off with a good weapon once you strip their shields.
This gun is the reason I always win at Regicide. Well, almost always (Darn you JIP!!!). And no, I don’t hang back in second, I shoot for first, always, bounty be -Yoink!-. On topic, I use it just like I use the SMG in halo 3, because IT IS an SMG, a forerunner one. Get in close, spray, melee, walk away with half my shields still. The suppressor outperforms the assault rifles by a mile in close range.

This gun is best used with firepower alongside the DMR. It is a fantastic weapon to kill someone up close. And it may only be able to kill one person without reloading, but thats if you dont finish them with a melee. Plus, such a requirement is stupid, because if you are fighting a 2on1, you are an idiot. Get yourself out of that situation, and work with your team better.
