It looks and sounds badass and has an amazing “weapon feel” to opening up in full auto with it.
But unless you get the drop on somebody in ultra close quarters, you are pretty much dead… And if they have the AR, you are pretty much dead anyway.
The AR has less spread and better accuracy over distance. The storm rifle also.
So what is its upside? It reloads pretty quick i guess… But thats not really much of an advantage is it?
What do you think it needs? More damage? Tighter spread? or perhaps a giant clip so you can keep on firing and actually use it to, as its name would imply, suppress a position?
Its hard to say from my experience. I cannot use it to save my life but others occasionally tear me up with it. I have only seen it three, maybe four times though.
The suppressor is close range only, it will out beat any gun at close range unless you run up on someone with a shot gun. As for getting the drop, run active camo and wait for your prey to come to you, nothing says “hi, how you doing?” like a full burst of suppressor to the face from an invisible enemy 1 foot away from you.

I recently got the Suppressor and found it to be very effective if used correctly. I use it with the BR and Hardlight Shield. But basically, unless you’re in a hallway, anywhere CQ’s, you swap it out. I killed a guy with a SAW, although he also killed me and missed the first several hundred bullets. It’s a good gun, it’s just not good range or open areas where the opponent has room to bounce and move.
I use it in favor of the Storm, and AR, and I find it better actually. The thing is a raping machine. I actually feel cheap using it sometimes. Don’t know how you’re having problems with it. o-O

A quick google across a few other forums will show you that i am not alone. A lot of people claim its worthless.
I want to use it, because its so -Yoink!- cool, but i couldnt think of any situation where it was very compared to the other guns which all seemed to do the same job better.

The storm rifle is much better. It has a much tighter spread and can tear dudes up at longer ranges. It rapes sheilds, but isnt THAT great against flesh.
Yah, with the marksmen rifles it is obvious what each of their roles are, but the assault rifles all feel like the same gun with different sounds except in the suppressor’s case where it does nothing. That said, I’m enjoying DMR+AR firepower loadout
I used the suppressor exclusively for the last 2 days.
Every now and again, you can kick -Yoink- with it… But in every one of these scenarios you would have done just as well, or better with the assault rifle.
The suppressor needs a buff to at least bring it in to line with the other 2 automatics.
I created a class with the suppressor and auto sentry and it basically generates me assists more than kills lol.
I swear I even had damage boost one point in the match and a guy close to me wouldn’t even die from that thing. Compared to the other guns I barely see it used and I know why. I just doesn’t compare really to an AR.
