So, we all have probably tryed the TU Beta playlist, and you all might have an idea of what’s wrong with the gametypes.
Just so that you know, Reach was designed to work with that bloom, that moving speed/jump heigh, that melee system and those AAs, and that made it less fast paced than other Halos, and that was Bungie’s will. But now Bungie is not in charge, so now that 343i has updated Reach to make it better, I think that It would be a waste of work to leave the TU changes out of the deafult playlists.
This is a community discussion, so I need your opinions on what i’m going to propose.
My proposal:
Now that there’s not so much bloom (85%), we have melee bleedthrough and AL and Camo are nerfed we got a faster paced Reach, but it’s not good enough yet. All I want changed for deafult Reach is the moving speed increased by 10%, the jumping height increased by 10% and the gravity by 200% (nerfs jetpack and makes strafing effective). And this change would affect on everything but FF, MLG, and Classic. So It would pretty much affect 90% of the game’s multiplayer.
Why is this good you might ask, well, it doesn’t change completelly the way Reach is played, it just improves it, so I don’t think that anyone that likes deafult Reach would dislike this change.
There would still be Bloom, nini nukes (easier to dodge) and default loadouts.

why not make it zero bloom. all these people worry about the noobs because they wouldn’t like it, but they are noobs, they wouldn’t know the difference anyway. the complainers are just scared cause they have no aim ability

This is true. But most of that was weapon, grenades and melee buffs/nerfs.
This is proposing completely different settings to take over as the defaults (most importantly, movement, jumping and gravity). Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to see it implemented but I simply can’t see it happening.
How about no. Dont even think about permanently altering the gameplay for the hundreds of thousands of people who dont want to jump on the bloom-bashing-bandwagon.
I’ll be perfectly honest: Once Anniversary comes out, I’m never playing Vanilla Reach ever again. There’s no reason to when the Anniversary suite has better maps than Reach, and updates that improve the gameplay. This TU Beta hopper kicks the -Yoink- out of anything Reach ever did. I’d be glad to know that they improved Vanilla Reach with 85% bloom, but it’s not going to affect me personally.
85% bloom is the way to go, zero bloom makes every gun except the Pistol/DMR useless at range. Also, every Halo game had minor bloom, taking it away does not makes Reach more like other halo games.
