It feels like for the first time ever you may be able to play a support role in competitive play. Weapons like the Ravager, Plasma Rifle, Heatwave, and Plasma Pistol really emphasize how this could exist. This will help casuals contribute to the game in a way they haven’t been able before possibly in casual play as well. This Halo feels more tactical and strategic than any Halo before.
Do you think this will become a thing?
Hey there!
I don’t see support roles becoming a thing in Halo. Especially since you have to retrieve weapons on the map and as plasma pistols have always existed I don’t see anything changing here. I still feel like this Halo is within its roots and those who play to kill and work with their team will ultimately prevail. Although I do see how a well coordinated fire team could pull off something like what you are saying! Just my two cents.
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply! The reason I mention this is due to the more tactical style Halo is leaning into. Competitive matches are going to be more advanced than ever before.
In BTB if they had a pelican that could transport players, vehicles, etc I’d be all over that. I wouldn’t even care if it didn’t have a gun. Playing support in such a way would be a blast.
