Superunits

how come everyone thinks the super-units are ALWAYS the way to go?

i mean, its just too easy to counter army’s nowadays

you see cutters, make flamers or sniper jackals

you see anderes, have wolves or vampires

you see forge, make hunters, hornets, or cobras

to easy.

people, learn to use STRATEGY!

Lol, all I ever do when I play Halo Wars anymore is rush at 10 mins with 20 banshees because like 90 percent of the time people wont have anything out cause they’re just trying to get their super-unit upgrades.

what’s even better is the fact that its a bad tactic

it’s very costly

and by the time you can shell out even ONE of your new super-units, you already have an army knocking on one of your bases

Super unit spams are so easy to see, and so easy to be stopped.

Why do people insist on it all the time? Thats not strategy, that’s flipping a coin. And guess what? They will be wrong 95% of the time.

While that is true, it is also foolish to assume your opponent will be going for super units every game. I’ve ran into a lot of players with that type of mindset. Lol.

did you not hear? TANK BEATS EVERYTHING!

If you mass units based on their leader alone I wouldn’t be surprised if you got whooped a good few times. As a cutter I don’t think I have ever massed ODST’s.

I’ve seen that happen Dodgy, and let me tell you, 9/10 times, it fails…

I don’t know why people think massing them will work, when you can very well just drop ten units at the back of the enemy base and launch a surprise attack, or have a hornet army and replace them with ODST as they fall out of the sky.

It just doesnt make sense.

its because it is easy and requires no effort. start game, boom to max tech, upgrade to super unit, spam spam spam, second base, spam spam spam, third base, spam spam spam. rinse and repeat.

I wouldn’t even call it a strategy or a game plan, its just laziness.

Its easy to expect certain thinks from certain leaders.
When playing against cutter or brute, i always expect infantry.

But you learn to ignore that instinct when you see a forge trying to rush you with gauss hogs…
May i add that was the biggest fail rush i had ever seen… 2 honor guards and 2 tech 2 hunters.

the problem is, the people who sit there upgrading everything appear to be unaware of the existence of deathmatch.

I guess it’s amusing sitting there for fifteen minutes and teching up every game, I just haven’t figured out why. o_O

Exactly, its lazy and requires no thought process.

If only we can tell the remaining playing community that, this would be great. But nope…nobody listens…
