Unlike the forums of another popular video game franchise, most people here tend to be pretty friendly and helpful. The toxicity in these forums really does seem to be minimal. I for one think this is a good thing.
Some subjects bring out the worst in people more than others do. Right now I’m not seeing any truly hot-button issues - it’s mostly just people with fairly low-level gripes about how they can’t customize their knee caps or toggle their emblem to make it look vaguely obscene. Not to worry though. Pretty soon somebody will decide that we have skill-gap issues, or that motion mechanics are as detrimental to Halo as armor abilities were, or… and this one is my personal prime candidate… that the ranking system is a horror show. Then just stand back and see how toxic things get.

People are very passionate about halo, in some ways it’s alot of players first love. So they hold their halo expectations really high and if it falls short in any way they get angry about it.
