Hey guys and fellow halo 5 fans! I wanted to talk to you about a super weird cut scene from halo 5 co op. When master chief has a vision of encountering Cortana in the weird cave system. well I’m just saying this but later in the cut scene the giant shadowing thing that floats up from the void below Cortana and Chief is a part of something much bigger that might explain a lot in halo 6!!!
please let me think what you think this might be but I have a pretty good Idea what it is!

Obviously it’s a Guardian.
Also, the weird cave system vision is most likely to be the Domain; it resembles a description of it from the Forerunner Saga. The Librarian altered John (by her words, she “accelerated” his evolution) in Halo 4. The obvious effect of that alteration was an immunity to the Composer. Still, no reason to think the Librarian didn’t bundle in Forerunner traits that she deemed critical to humans claiming the Mantle of Responsibility. This may be why Cortana couldn’t hear the Didact speaking to John in Halo 4, towards the end – perhaps he, like Cortana in Halo 5, was reaching John via Domain-based resources.
Also, that shadowy giant is 100% a guardian. It’s not so shadowy that you can’t make out its floating bits, including its pointed tail and wings.

Also, you know, Cortana is KIND of spending the whole time talking to Chief saying how the “reclamation” has come and how’s she going around THAT?
That too. It was entirely topical. Chief’s brief sojourn into the maybe-Domain does seem to have a dreamlike concept-association bent to it. He sees the almost-certainly-destroyed data crystal on which Cortana used to be stored before he begins to hear and see Cortana. Then he sees a guardian as she talks about the reclamation.
If it is the Domain, then it may be that the Domain (which may or may not be Abaddon) was sending him those pieces of imagery in order to warn him, in the same way it warned Bornstellar and the Didact in ages past.
