> My opinion.
My opinion is the opposite and seems to co-align with the overwhelming vast majority of current Halo players.
> Suck it.
No thank you.
> Population prefers Team Slayer though.
100% true.
> Why?
My opinion is that TS is the game the bought and learned how to play and they have no desire to relearn the game restructured for a small group of players that stomped their feet like tantruming children until they got their way, sorta.
> Question:
Good, I got answers.
> Are people just so stuck to their ways that change scares them?
Yes and this explains the reluctance of some to accept that Reach is a different game then its predecessors.
> Or do people just mindlessly assume that Super Slayer is just some new form of Action Sack that they don’t want to even bother trying out?
That might be a safe assumption if Super Slayer and TU setting had not got the star treatment over the last couple of months with jackpot weekends, title prompts explaining the changes and a slurry of forums explaining the changes, a test vote in TS where it is obvious the results did not go in the TU’s favor and finally A few playlist where people had the choice, updated TS or good old fashion Reach which the results speak for themselves everyday. (bit of a run-on sentence, but oh well, this is not English class)
> Super Slayer/TU = Reach “fixed” for me personally <---- my opinion again.
I “fixed” that for you, little trick I learned on Bnet.
The only thing the TU did was cater to a minority of players who have a particular preference in playstyle. 343 gave all the special players a little corner to go play in and as an added extra bonus forced the TU in standard playlist like BTB like rape.
Consider yourself lucky, but be forewarned, nobody is going to receive that type of treatment when Halo 4 is released, as Bungie did for their tenure over their hard work (Reach), 343 will do the same over theirs (Halo 4), they wont change base mechanics for anyone.
