How do I kill that danm thing without loosing the base
I’m assuming you’re referring to the campaign level.
Warthogs were my best friends on that level.

No, there’s no Banshees. That’s the level before I believe where you get the cobras into place to drop the shield.
Warthogs are faster than the line of fire of the scarab, so I just kept microing them.
lol it really wasnt all that bad, not even on legendary. It was kinda hard to get the micro manager achievement though just cuz its not easy to move around nodes without destroying one. But seriously its not as hard as you think, i even beat it with nothing but infantry just to see if i could, although i have to admit that took me a few tries
get gauss warthogs, everytime you have cash for a mac blast, mac the super scarab. use the warthogs to kill the power generator things to slow the beam down. later on get a few tanks, and then hop in, shoot it, and then go hide in the top of the map for the beam to disappear to other side of map.
keep doing this till its dead. just use the hogs to kill the generators.

What if you’re going for the achievement that requires you to destroy the Scarab without destroying any of the Power Nodes?
figure it out on your own.
I use the Wolverine’s volley attack. They are fast enough to out run the scarab’s beam, so you just have them move back and forth, continuing to use the volley attack.
