Super Fiesta and the Objectionable Objective games

STILL FORCING US TO PLAY HUSKY RAID !!!
Why? A real explanation would be helpful.
Tell us that you have to throw everything together because there isn’t enough interest in any single game type to warrant it having it’s own place in the menu.
Tell us that you are all so busy trying to work from home and avoid the new CHAZ area of Seattle that there aren’t even any Community Playdates.
Tell us that it is to force everyone into BTB Super Fiesta.
Tell us that you all have the new XBOX X Series consoles and are stress testing HALO Infinite and cannot adjust the menus.
Whatever the reason is, you should know, every time a Husky Raid comes up, I vomit into my HALO 3 Master Chief helmet.
Please, I’m asking nicely, please put all of the Objective games together and restore Super Fiesta to it’s previous glory.
Even the people who I play with who liked Husky Raid don’t want to play it anymore, not one of them, not a single one.
This has long passed the point of being an annoyance. It is now to the point that we don’t want to play anymore.
I would rather wait a longer period of time between matches for the original, wonderful Super Fiesta than have to suffer through Husky Raid and the nonstop vomit-fest that ensues.
HELP.

I agree! I stopped playing because of how many times I was forced to play Husky Raid. There are better games to play rather than suffer through a ridiculous game of capture the flag.

I don’t mind Husky Raid as a gametype, I just find some of the maps very questionable. Take the Control Room map, for instance. Why are the enemy allowed to go behind my teams spawn and spawn kill us before we have a chance to turn around? The original Husky Raid map was a blast to play on.

I can see where you’re coming from, but myself and everyone who I play with have no issue with it. We enjoy the near instant matches and variety between slayer and objective game types.

They have the data that has consistently shown shorter wait times have huge impact on population health.

As much I dislike the husky raid maps and mode itself on these maps (OG Map is best map imo), I will say the stuff they did for fiesta party definitely has helped the population in some regard to be completely fair. I can get games in the playlist with little to no issues whatsoever and this is coming from someone who has a hard time finding games most of the time. Plus them adding in some of the holiday fiesta modes into the mix, It makes sense, not my preferred way of it personally. But I see why they went with it, they’re all technically the same sorta modes with their own twists.

Once again, my point is, and now with Core Play back in the mix, and even better point, Husky Raid SUCKS and should be in a playlist along with the other objective game types, just like what Core Play is.
I played for two hours last night, ALL but two games were Husky Raid. It was 5 Husky Raid games to every “regular” Super Fiesta match. That is a serious overweight towards HR.
And I, and the dozens of friends who I regularly play with would gladly wait an additional few minutes between matches in order to get a Super Fiesta match rather than the all but constant HR matches.
Don’t tell me the numbers and statistics argument. HR has been forced on us for months now, so the stats are now useless. You can’t say that there is traffic showing players WANT HR, they no longer have a choice. And if you field a team of 8 players, then you just run all over any smaller group who leaves the dreaded HR Fiesta for BTB.
How about a real test, Objective games in one list, Original Super Fiesta as it’s own, stand alone choice. Leave the adjusted maps with the grenades, snow, etc., and change it back to 5 players, then let’s see what happens.

I didnt mind the original Husky Raid map (Meta Raid??), but never really loved the gametype. For me, it gets tiresome pretty quickly, and some of the maps they’ve introduced are awful, in my opinion.

i just can’t get into an objective gametype (ctf, strongholds, etc) where players are spawning with rockets, incin cannons, or whatever op weapon.

To each their own i guess, but i definitely prefer just straight old super fiesta.

Please please please bring back SUPER FIESTA. I can’t handle Husky Raid anymore. I used to enjoy it at the beginning but now it’s just tiresome. I miss all the other maps!

I can’t stand to play super fiesta anymore cause all I ever got was husky raid, personally I’d rather play regular slayer super fiesta then this crap. If I want to play oddball or slayer or strongholds I’d just play slayer all day. But I like the verity of guns you spawn with on super fiesta… really wish y’all would just switch it back to how it used to be before y’all turned it stupid and boring.

Husky raid is the worst. I rather live in a house that has scattered LEGO’s for carpets than play Husky raid one more time. I want to play super fiesta not objective games. If I wanted to play an objective game I would play fetch with my dog. Husky raid is the virtual version of coronavirus.

I really would like regular super fiesta back, as a separate option. With 5 players like it used to be.
I loved husky raid when it was first introduced… but its annoying playing 10 in a row. And hoping to get at least a couple fiesta games in. So whoever reads this. Take regular fiesta out of the fiesta party games and keep it separate. Also it was fun on ranked too.
Thanks!!

When I started to play husky raid, it was on action sack. Now it’s a part of the super fiesta type. When it was also a set alone playlist. It was better.
I mainly want to play super fiesta now because I’m am tired of the husky raid "quitters " when the power weapons favor one side.
Bring back our super fiesta without the objectives.

I hate Husky Raid. It doesn’t belong in Super Fiesta, and I hate being forced to play it repeatedly. There is a simple solution: make Husky Raid / objective games a separate option, so those that want to play them can do so, and those that don’t want to play them can avoid them. Microsoft, please demonstrate your are listening to players and get this done ASAP!

Am I the only one who likes Husky Raid and Super Fiesta? I mean, you play that mode for the total chaos and trying to work out a strategy within that chaos, so HR is fine for me. Maybe you get it a bit too often but I don’t mind it at all.

The most annoying thing about Super Fiesta is playing solo and then always being teamed against lvl 150 parties. So you lose a lot of games based upon unfair matching and lack of communication on your own team.

Looks you play mostly BTBSF, but the 5:1 ratio was over 6 games, that’s a small sample size. All your SF games before that for a while are pretty evenly spread between slayer and the objectives. Also make sure you don’t back out of the search postgame — that won’t repeat the last game / map (but it could be two of the same game modes).

I don’t know if they’ve shared the weights for each game type, but I’m guessing it’s something like 40/40/20 HR/slayer/other.

Numbers and statistics are what any change is going to be based on. 343 can see if people want HR. They can see who quits each game type, map, scenario, etc. If they saw a big drop in pop due to the objective game types or people quitting out of them more often than slayer, they’d consider that.

IGRS,

You can only see the last 15 or so games that we played. We now AVOID standard Super Fiesta because none of us want to play Husky Raid. Last night, we played for over 4 hours. When we had 4 players we started with standard Super Fiesta (I refuse to call it Super Fiesta Party because it is neither super, nor a party) and played 4 husky raid games in a row. After the fourth game we moved into BTB SF.

Regarding your comment about not backing out, sadly, even on a new XBOX ONE X the game crashes/freezes and I am forced to restart the game, or when a new player comes in to the Fireteam I have to back out to at least the Social Arena menu screen.

I have over 100 friends, all of whom play HALO 5 and not a single one has messaged me that they WANT to play husky raid, not one.

Until 343 comes out and explains what is going on I will continue to believe that they are funneling off resources and by leaving husky raid in the mix they know that they can drive more players in to BTB.
What they are actually doing is driving players out of HALO all together and right to their competition.

I would personally prefer if they split the playlists (objective / slayer) as well, but I just don’t think it’s going to happen with the small population and Infinite releasing soon.

It just goes back to the point that they’re doing whatever they can, as supported to by the data, to maximize population and engagement.

As I wrote earlier, the data, at this point, is useless. After more than six months of HR/SFP there are no other number to compare it to. The statistics will show a declining number of players in H5 and they cannot determine if it is because of waning interest or the imposed vomit fest of HR being forced upon the HALO community at large.
A true, simple test would be to announce in a Community Update the return of original Super Fiesta to the Social Arena. At the same time, make the Objective Games it’s own playlist and see where the players go and what they choose.

Polling and statistics are only useful if you know both the questions that were asked and what the options presented were. To say that players want HR when no other option is being offered is not accurate in any way, there is no other choice being offered. Oh, wait, there actually is, players stop playing HALO and go play a competitor’s FPS.
They could also add in the number of players in the MCC who are playing Slayer games there as well. That may be another reason why we are being forced to play HR, to drive us all over the MCC.

In any case, 343 should just be honest with us and tell us what is going on and why we are still forced to play HR.

Data isn’t useless. Like I said before they can see more than just the overall population. If for example people quit HR at a higher rate than slayer, that would back up the case to reduce its weight or drop it, etc.

Why would they want to drive players away?

Why would they want to drive players away, they wouldn’t. I believe it’s because they need the resources to be devoted to HALO 6 and they are also fairly confident that the people who truly love the HALO games are going to come back as soon as H6 is released.
And if they were actually looking at the data, they would see how many people do quit and it would show them that there is no single game type that is quit more than HR.
I can stand by my own stats as well. And as I wrote before, not a single person on my friends list has messaged me back that they actually do want to play HR.
To the contrary, every one who has messaged me back feels the same way that I do, the game sucks and they are tired of being forced to play it.
