Can I mix and match co-op completed missions with solo-completed missions to unlock the Mark IV armor?
Legendary of course. I have like half the Legendary campaign completed on Legendary but the dude disappeared so I want to know if I have to start all over or if I can pick up where I left off.

Yes that’s what I did when two missions didn’t register
It’s the commendation that gives you the armor. Are they filling up for doing it co-op? If so, then it shouldn’t matter if you do it co-op or solo
edit: however, if they are NOT filling up, then that means you HAVE to do it solo. Which is gonna suck
Yes. The only thing you need to do solo is Lone Wolf Legend. For Mark VI, you can do it co-op.
