Hoping a mod or someone can help explain this for me. When 343 announced the sunsetting of the legacy titles, they mentioned Halo Reach customization will no longer work. I thought you didn’t need an online connection to progress and customize your spartan.
Yea considering that it already stopped updating on waypoint I was also confused by this.
My thoughts towards this are that in the past if there has been some sort of maintenance or issues with the servers, everyone’s armor would revert back to default so something there tells me that it is tied to the server somehow.

I wasnt sure how this applied to reach . You could play reach on an xbox 360 , never connect to the internet and rank up + unlock armor

Well Reach is the only place I’ve ever seen this happen as it’s all I ever played online prior to moving to the MCC. I’m not sure though it’s just a possible explanation from what I have witnessed.
